A solution for every problem...
I bought the vert for the headroom...and am very happy.
My '10 coupe with a moonroof was a sardine can. 1. Top stays up and, therefore, out of the shop. 2. Car stays out of the rain; bone dry Camarostomy bag. 3. 1,200 happy miles...so far. 4. Mustang brochure in glove box...just in case.

I've had mine for 8 days and have 1800 miles on it. The top has been lowered and raised probably 30+ times with no issues. Try it you'll like it!

Cool hood modification brother. I like that. Any problems getting around inside the engine bay? Looks good, my Z06 has that set up. Just seemed weird to me at first when I got it, I was so used to coming in from the front to get to things.

Thanks, No problems getting in there yet, but I haven't had the need to do anything in there except clean it.

Lovin' mine!!!
My vert was the first delivered in Tucson. 15 months and just past 20,000 miles yesterday. One top replacement last June, and my own redesign of the tonneau clips are the only issues I've had. I've loved mine from the first day, and still can't wait to drive it!
Those that have owned other makes of convertibles know that many suffer the same, or worse issues. The folding top has been around longer than the invention of the automobile, and I don't think there will ever be a "perfect" convertible. We demand too much from it. All we can ask for is that the company and the dealership work with us to resolve the issues that do arise. I believe the problems we've experienced seem much worse because this has been such a close-knit community of owners. We share each others' frustrations, but also fuel each others' fires.

I think a large part of the problem stems from GM denying problems exist with the tops. I too have had my fair share of problems.Broken 5th bow and have experienced the finding nemo effect( water management bag failure) I would agree that most people would not be as ticked off as they are if GM stepped up to the plate a bit more.We are all car enthusiasts here and most owners just want the repairs performed without the dumbass responses like"you must have had items in your trunk that caused the 5th bow to break" or "you put your top down wet-to cause the rubmarks and holes" to GM customer service to say" sorry to hear about your problems" and "no we have not heard of any camaro convertibles having top issues"(I got this response a week ago from GM Canada customer service) all we want is to have the problems fixed...period. since my vert was fixed....PERMAGRIN HAS RETURNED!!!! keeping my fingers crossed that the top won't give me more problems. |

Nice car. But how long does it take the Great General, and all its genius engineers to figure out a problem? I would submit that they aren't trying. All pablum to keep people waiting till the warranty is up or they go away. |

It should not matter if the warranty runs out before you get it fixed. It is a known problem just as the bad paint back in the 80's. I had an 88 GranPrix that the paint started peeling off of the hood after the warranty was out for over a year. I took it in thinking I would have to pay for it myself, but the body shop manager said it was a known problem and the hood would be repainted for free. They did a great job and it never peeled off again. Just try to stay calm and resasonable when talking to these people. If you go in and first thing go on a rant demanding a replacement top you will not get very much cooperation.

I have have my vert for 7 months 10k miles and drive with top down most of the time. I had the top recall done but even before that I had no issues with top or car. It has ran solid and awsome for me.. Very happy with it..

Couldn't be happier ... had it for a month and the permagrin factor is still there every time I take it out! Have found very few reasons to put the top up, weather has been great.

I wish I had traded the Camaro in, instead of buying the 'Stang outright. But then, I wouldn't have had all this fun here on the Forum.
