It'll look great in the car, kind of hate the feeling of having a 2011 car that costs over 30K and doesn't have a navi, at least a touch screen.
I'm in, I really want one. hopefully next mod.

Looks like it belongs in soccer mom's SUV dash. A manly man muscle car dash is no place for this sticky fingered geek gadget. Kill this thread with fire !!!

This is 2012 buddy. That kinda thinking got GM in trouble in the first place. Does the marketplace demand it? Yes. I'm just glad Chevy is asking those questions.

whats funny is people actually think the Metra kit and other after market kits look good. This looks much more factory than those. I have seen the after market stuff in person and looks very cheap

If they can't make a factory retrofit solution that comes in around $1500, I hope a 3rd party company takes a look at the design, and makes a solution where we can pop in a Pioneer etc. (I know, there are solutions out there, but it would be nice if it retained more of the original look/controls...). Heck, I don't even need NAV. I want an upgraded media-system, backup camera option, and integrates well with steering wheel controls.

I think it fits the car perfectly. Unfortunately the cost will be to rich for my blood.

I will stick with the Scosche and Pioneer. I enjoy all the added stuff (e.g. traffic (more than the navi), HD Radio, IPOD, etc ...
the Schosche kit matches perfectly to the rest of the console trim. does not look any cheaper than the factory parts it matches

I think this is a cool option even though it might not make sense to everyone price wise. It does look better than what is in the Camaros now and if it intergrates just by a simple plug in of the harness that would be awesome.

However, I dont know how the GPS antenna integrates, how the speed sense integrates, how the sound system will integrate, how heads up display integrates, etc. If it is too much of a pain going aftermarket would make a lot more sense.

Also, I am sure these will have to be flashed or somethign through a dealer.

If they are like other GM radios, if you get a radio that is brand new and *never* been installed, it will be paired automatically to your vehicle at the first power-on, no dealer required. However, if you get a used or take-off unit, you'll have to have the dealer do a "radio relearn" procedure to link your used radio to your car. Last time I had to have this performed *I* had to walk the dealer's technician through the process, and they charged me $75.

I'll definitely be getting this. To be honest, I couldn't believe the '10 and '11 models didn't have some sort of feature like this.

I'm not feeling it, but if it worked like the Malibu one that would be neet. The Malibu has a button on the bottom, that when you depress it theres a cubby behind the faceplate.

look at 35 - 40 sec.

2ssrs,

Did your order the base Mylink or the Nav upgraded one?

I've been told the Nav unit has a different face/buttons.
