Well, had it in on Friday, they are ordering a new dash and shifter (manual knob is a little loose) Service manager said he saw this on some of the trucks, but mine was the first Camaro he saw with this bubble.

well got the dash insert replaced on monday, and it is already bubbled up like crazy. I am getting sick of this. Just rediculous. Time to get GM involved! On the phone with them as I type this!

Like rust, bubbles never sleep.
It was 112* inside the car Wednesday when I started it up. ![]() That's with a windshield sun shade. Personally, I think those "shades" superheat the windshield by reflecting the sun back through the glass. Why? Because my Inspection stickers soften, come unglued, and fall off the glass. Only in the Summer.

Wow, only lasted 3 days at most before it started to go bad? That's just terrible. So far my replacement only has one small bubble in the center. But after hearing this, I'm not going to bother getting it replaced unless GM comes up with an actual solution. Please keep us posted.

Just noticed the issue today on my 2012, large bubble directly above the center of the radio, kind of "pops" when I push down on it. It has been sitting outside at work for the past week in 100+ deg temperatures, didn't notice it before this heat wave.

Imagine the fix they will come up with...
"Confirm bubble. Poke bubble with Special Service Tool HYPDRMKNDL/6969-CSTMRPHQD. Expunge air with SST CRDTCRD-SKERS Push firmly around periphery of bubble towards hole that should never be noticable by customers who bought this vehicle yearning for their high school days in the 70s. Show care around stereo bezel as it is easily marred. If marred try to hide blemish with Service Writers eye liner pencil or SST SHRPYBLK-007 Test drive aggressively. Return vehicle to customer. Billable: 2 hours"

![]() If the car wasn't under warranty, I'd get a very thin-needle syringe, and put some epoxy in it. Then I'd inject the needle under the bubble and squeeze some out, then smooth out the pleather and rig a weight so it would stay put. Next morning it would be all fixed I have slight dis-bond, but not where you guys do, and it's not noticeable to the eye- only found it when cleaning the dash. I expect my car will develop the same issue yours are having. If warranty can't fix it, I can

I hadn't noticed it before, but after seeing the post I looked and mine it starting to bubble too. It's really not that bad yet and the temps here in SC have been 100+, so I will probable wait till it gets worse to worry about it. My experiance with dealers or most repair shops for that matter, will never get it back to the new factory look. I bought my 2012 last Nov and have been back to the shop for stupid repairs(Mostly caused by the dealer) 6 times. Gotta find a new one

So there's no real solution to this still? Replacing it OBVIOUSLY doesn't work, so why are the dealers still doing it?

Noticed mine a few weeks ago. Sounds like they will be addressing this along with my faulty torque converter. I love this site. Very informative. Thanks everyone. Keep taking the cars back until they get a permanent fix.

I have a 2012.. My dash is doing the same thing. I have a factory sunroof. I drive with it opened and the ac cranking... I noticed some condensation. When i felt the dash its all full of bubbles. I went right to dealership. They took pictures of it.. Said they have to wait for a reply back from Detroit. They will call me tomorrow and tell me what their going to do.
