How many people from the USA work in the camaro plant? Oh yeah that would be none as we are not allowed to work north of the border but Canadians can work here. Now Im not saying either is right or wrong just saying there are laws and policies we must all abide by, just or injust, and since we both live in democracies there is only one way to change it.
As far as free health care there is no such thing. Unless that doctor set that broken arm for free someone paid him and paid for it. People have to start thinking that there are cost associated with what they percieve as "free".

I did not know Canadians can work in Canada just like that! I am pretty sure you need a working visa to do so, I do not believe you can just walk in and work there. I have a few friends working in LA right now and they require a Visa - which once expired forces them to go home. I did not know America does not let you do this. Its funny how their no-sell to Canadian policies though only affect the border states - because they know most people will not drive 2-3 states south but will remain on the bordering states only. I went to Oregon and LA and they sold to me gladly. Clearly this policy is beyond policy and more about greed. Greed knows no nationality. It is a democracy. But unless your politicians chose to put it up for vote, the word democracy is just that a word. Nothing will be done, no vote will occur, and no policy change will ever happen. |

There are a number of reasons for this that are likely. First, and foremost, this begs the question of why aren't you buying it from a Canadian dealer? I'd guess the answer is probably cost. Is likely there are some provisions of duties or taxes that elevate the cost to Canada. Then there's the issue of US vs Canadian warranty. Are you going to bring the car back to the US for warranty service? The Canadian dealer abides by Canadian law for their dealings and then the US dealer does so for his side. If you have a home and address in the US and will keep the car in the US, there should be no issue as I know 2 foreigners that own a vette and a new camaro here in Florida but they have second homes here in Florida and a main home in Canada.

Why it costs $500 more to deliver a car in Canada than to the USA ?

I wouldn't be pissed about how much I paid versus what you paid. I don't worry about things like that. If I have to pay more then you then so be it. I won't come online and bitch and cry about it. I'll just accept it. I'm not happy that the Camaro is built in Canada, but what am I gonna do about it? My point is simply stop bitching and crying about it. If you bought the car where you live then you wouldn't be crying right now. |

Your responses virtually consist of no logic, reasoning, or any productive assets. Your main premises are "you are butt hurt" and "stop bitching". I have yet to hear a sound or intelligent argument or conversation from you...Read my original post again. I am disputing the fact that the MSRP between the two countries is grossly disproportionate and that automakers spamming all brands have been raising prices up north to seemingly gauging proportions. |

You'll just accept it? What if I stole your wallet? Would you just accept it?What if a group of guys came in and burned everything you owned and took your family? Would you just accept it? What about how we are turning into a socialist country? Just accept that? With all respect If you've got a family I hope your wife is a better leader than you are. Because your logic is worse than a sheep. not only do you mindlessly follow, but you command others to as well. Sad.

OP as in my previous responses I've agreed that it isn't necessarily fair, but it is life. If you think you're being dealt with unjustly, think about a member on here in South America that had to pay over 50K for the 2LT. it's even more expensive in Dubai, like around 60 for the v6 and 80 for the v8..
While the situation does suck, be happy that it isn't worse. There's simply nothing you can do about it apart from a private trade. Unfortunate, but true.

Simple question to the OP - did you have plans to pay the import tarrif?
http://www.riv.ca/CostConsiderations.aspx. I am personally grateful for trade limitations between countries.

I calculated it all, even with my provinces taxes, state taxes, the inspection fees, import fees I would still have saved roughly 3-4 thousand. I had a LS 2012 model going with a dealership in Seattle for 19500 brand new. While in Canada they sold for 27500. |

Dealers are not allowed to export cars. It is a violation of their franchise agreement. Manufacturers have distribution channels in other countries. Case closed.

![]() The op needs to understand that yes you can find dealers who will do this, however they are few and far between and if caught they will lose their franchise and will face federal punishment as well for breaking federal export laws. |
