Bolt Patern question

So I was wondering if anyone here would know, the camaro pattern is 5x120 exactly and the Bmw is 5x120.36. This shop says it will fit but wont be good in the long run, Is this true? I just dont know anything like that about rims

Corvette and Camaro have *exactly* the same bolt pattern: 5x4.75" or 5x120.65mm.

"5x120mm" is just a rounded figure.

Cheers,
Kent

Kent.....I got news for you......the Camaro bolt pattern IS 5 x 120.....it is NOT rounded up. so NO... they are NOT the exact same. OUR wheels ARE NOT 5 X 4.75.

This issue has been beaten to death in the past, and the true experts have chimed in and set people straight.

This^

Also for the OP... what is the center bore diameter.? The bcd difference is small nominally, but you don't know the tolerances and the way it could stack up.

I take it this was something new with the Gen5? GM decided to make the G5 Camaro a different pattern than the C6 Corvette?

Ok did my searching-- could not find any "true experts" saying that the Camaro pattern is "5x120.0" and NOT "5x120". Not trying to be a wise guy -- this is more of a educational pursuit now for me...

Not sure what you mean by "true expert". Can you post an example of a true expert saying what the bolt pattern of any certain car is.

You could just measure the bolt pattern yourself. I one bought a 5 x 4.75 adapter for my spare tire and it didn't match up to my hub. It was close and I could have probably bolted it down, but I didn't want to damage my lugs.

I measured it with my VERY precise dial caliper and it was exactly 4.751" (120.654 mm) bolt pattern. I then measure the bolt pattern on my car and it was exactly 4.725" (120.012 mm). I know .026" doesn't sound like a lot, but when you consider it with all 5 lug holes the difference adds up.
