Traded my AV for a 2010 Camaro

It may not be a SS or RS even but it suits my needs just fine. My truck was getting 13MPG and this should do much better. I don't know exactly what I will get just yet but I guess around 21 combined as I do half and half driving. No upgrades are going to happen too soon as I pushed the budget around to get this. Pic below. I got this for 18,900 minus 7,200 for my trade brining me down to 11,700. Taxes and such bought me to abit over 12K. Even though I did not get a good trade price on my truck its still a steal with the price I got it for. Only 19,000 on the ODO, manual tranny. Dunno what other options are above stock but in the future is the radio upgrade and if I can find any free MODs I may do those as well. Also in the future I want to convert to ABL.

Very nice, and beautiful color! As far as MPG goes that definitely depends on how heavy your foot is! I have seen some people average 22-23 or as low as 16-18!

Edit:

Also wanted to say Repainting usually puts a hit on the resale of the vehicle. You may want to go a different route if you ever plan on resaling or upgrading. I also hear its damn expensive to repaint. Could look into vinyl wrapping! Otherwise if you got the dough and you plan on keeping go for it!

Learn how to plastidip. It's like 5-6 dollars at Home Depot/Lowes. I'd definitely start by plastidipping the taillight bezels and all the emblems.

Thanks guys, might plastic dip some stuff but I like the bezels. Eventually items to upgrade will be stock lights to HID, add in fog lights, cold air intake, cat back exhaust, window tint, painted engine cover, radio (Scosche kit), maybe some subs in the trunk, LED tail lights, ABL, quad gauge cluster and HUD. Throw in a few other MODs here and there too. I am not doing any of these right away and the first MOD will have to be the radio so I can add in a back up cam.

Oh yeah, is there a tread started on Free Mods yet? I saw the 100 and under Mod thread already. I need to get some of the black decals for the gills.

I think they meant ambient lighting not a repaint.

Just because it is an LS doesn't mean you're going to love it any less. I absolutely love my LS

Looks good love the color. Hey a camaro is a camaro you have the same body lines as a SS and you could mod it so it's just as fast or even faster. Good Luck with it

I'd upgrade the wheels (every time I see those rims, I cringe), but you can't beat that price! Enjoy the whip!

I too traded in an Acalanche, that would get me around 16 MPGs on a good day(I do lots of freeway driving) and now with my LT1 I am getting 30+ MPGs, just loving the gas mileage. I don't miss the Avalanche although it was a good truck

Thanks again guys! I am looking forward to driving it this week. I think your right, I will love it just as much as a SS. Doubt I will miss the AV though, I liked it for the features and being able to haul stuff but the mileage killed me.

Suede or leather interior, I was going to suggest dye thread your stitching if it's leather. Cheapest mod I ever did. Congrats and enjoy!
