BUT, I've now discovered a much better way to do it. All of the same info in easy to read and no bulky laptop or cords. Check and clear codes and log everything in plain english. Right on the phone. I can still use the SCT to transfer and send tune files if I ever need to. Or not and I can just give it away. Just seems better at this point. The Torque looks pretty good to me right now. WAY better than SCT. |

In the event I might get lucky and get a log this weekend I can use I'll try and do this again.
So which one? I chose the 3400 because they are both seemingly the same. I'll try the other in the meantime. My unit only has the serial number on it. |

This is the type of shit that SCT gives us.
Keep in mind there was NO LINK or UPDATE on the page. It says to download the update 'below'. Quote:

![]() I'm just going to order the Torque. I just don't get it. In order to make my tools work I have to give them access to my computer? They can't make a product that just works? And then they make themselves available til 5 o'clock on weekdays. If there were no other way I would. But the other product is just better from what I see. |

The other system just looks easier better and even funner to use so I'll just do that. No big deal sct just wasn't for me that's all. Simpler quicker and easier to read is just what I want regardless of the difficulties that I've had. |

Ok, so you guys who have used the Blue Tooth OBDII connectors with your phones.
A) Where the heck do I buy them? ![]() B) Are they accurate enough to log and asses and tune from? I assume it's as accurate as the SCT since it gets the info from the same place? |

http://torque-bhp.com/wiki/Bluetooth_Adapters I have a cheap ebay bluetooth adapter that I use with a program they supplied. It looks kind of like this one on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ELM327-Car-S...f86f3a&vxp=mtr I couldn't get mine to work with Torque but I have never had a problem reading/clearing codes using the program they supply with it. And it has no problem getting data from the ECU for the logging software they supply. It has been a lot easier to get it to communicate with the ECU than the SCT...... I tried using the new LiveLink Gen II...I was able to finally see all of the PIDs I need for Ted but it won't show me any data values for the PIDs..... ![]() I plan on calling SCT when I get the chance...I don't understand why it doesn't just work out of the box? The cheap ebay Chinese stuff even works better...... EDIT: Here is the best one to use with Torque according to their website...kinda pricey: http://www.scantool.net/obdlink-mx.html

I have the innovative LC1 that is mentioned earlier. It is cool to watch at WOT and DFCO... but other than that it just jumps all over the place in closed loop mode (or whatever mode is used during cruising). btw, my LC1 was over a full point lower at WOT than the 2 NGK's that my tuner was using (one on each side). Mine read ~10.1 and both of his read about 11.5 AFR.

Sorry PQ. I was being a smart ass. You can def have your son watch your boost gauge. I assume you roll into the throttle. If I mash it in my car I'll be in the woods!

Just be careful. The TVS cars are wicked on the street at any level.
