mlee: If I say go to channel six, forget it. We go to three.
Sir nuke: I go to three. Perfect.
Mlee: If I say go to channel two, we go to one.
Sir nuke: Two is one.
Mlee: See, that'll confuse everybody.
Sir. Nuke: That'll confuse 'em. On the other hand, if we stayed on the odd channels, switched every time and started in the basement, that'd work, too. That'd do it, too, wouldn't it?
Mlee: Well, yeah, that'd work too, I guess.
I do try and keep Nuke on his toes.

So... odd channels and even sub-channels... that should work..

I plan on driving mine some. That's some of the best times, playing on the way. We had to fly to Phoenix because my car was still being built last year and it wasn't near as fun. The trailer is more for hauling any shrapnel back if it decides to come apart on the dragstrip. It was built with the best stuff but even bullet proof stuff comes apart at that power level. That's just part of it.
I'll be picking up an old friend of mine in Nashville so we'll stay at his house and meet back up with you guys the next morning.

After last year, I know that even tough stuff from the best manufacturers (Precision) can come apart... I like the security of having alternate transportation in case of an ooops...

For those traveling with pets Amy and I are staying at the Homestead Suites Airport. It is a little further up the road on the Day 2 route just past where everyone else will turn south to go to the casino.

I just talked to a buddy that is headed to Indianapolis to see relatives and he said Traffic/Construction is bad from Malvern, AR on Interstate 30 all the way around Little Rock on 440. He said even truckers got out of their trucks. He said signs posted "Find Alternate Route"

Should we find another way to Memphis/Tunica???

EDIT: Scratch that, My buddy talked to a trucker that drives that route often and said you can either go WAY out of the way to miss it or drive through it. You won't save any time by going around.

I checked with Arkansas State Highway and Transportation and they have a nice interactive map with road construction identified. There were 4 different road projects going on in that area over the past few days. two of the projects were short term (2 days) 1 was for 14 days that started on 29 June and 1 is an ongoing project that has one lane closed for 6 miles from MM 92 to MM 98.
I think the other projects will be closed by the time we get there and we will just have to deal with this 6 mile closure.

I might be a little behind don't know for sure.. found out this morning I'm going to England tomorrow to fix one of our broke jets on its way home from the AOR. If its what I think it is I'll be back next weekend but there's a chance I won't be back till the 30th if so I'll just high tail it out and catch up. I got Jesse and Keith's # so I will find y'all.

Yes, we will stop at the Corvette Museum. One of the Kentucky members SparkyDL75 has been working with the museum and they are going to have a group admission rate and are blocking off an area for parking....

I stopped in the museum last year on the way home to Indy and if I remember correctly they do take cards. Admission was only $10 though and free to military. The cafe and gift shop were accessible without going into the fee area of the museum.

I spoke to the Museum again today. If you want to see all the museum exhibits on a self paced walking tour you have to pay admission. The Corvette Museum store, Corvette Cafe, and the "new corvette delivery" area are free to walk through.

Here are the group discount prices for museum admission:

Adult $7
Senior $6
Child(6-16) $4
Under 6 FREE
Active Military FREE

I have arranged for us to have blocked off parking so we can do some pictures and have our cars "displayed" while we tour the museum. I will need an accurate count of cars a few days ahead of time so they know how much parking to save.

As for food, the Corvette exit 28 off I-65 has the following food options.

next to museum:
Corvette Cafe (inside museum)
Wendy's
Hardee's
Jerry's

about 1 mile from museum
Sonic
Lee's Chicken
Peurto Vallarta

If you are not interested in the Museum but want food in Bowling Green, exit 22 (Scottsville Rd.) would have the most options.

If you have other questions/concerns about passing through BG please feel free to ask.

Brian
