Since the LFX doesn't have the typical exhaust manifold you cannot attach a header system to this engine.

Hope this helps.
WOW, that's crazy, a car without an exhaust manifold. I never would have thought. I wonder why they built it into the engine?

They did it (according to an article I read) because it cut down the parts count (a lot less nuts and bolts) and also reduced the weight of the engine. Something like 13 lbs per side I think? It's been a while.

All I know is the first Camaro I ever saw up close in person was a 2LS with the LFX (two weeks before I bought my car) and the crazy single down pipe had me scratching my head at first.

The above statement is accurate, called & spoke with Steve @ SOLO last week. They are in the process of working out a set for LFX currently - No ETA.

That's not going to work out so well, come emissions time. Isn't Ventura in CA? I hear they're just a bit strict on emissions equipment over there.

But it sounds cool, and isn't that what really counts?

Ha ha ha ha.

Ha.

Well I'm testing the soon to be released ported TB for the LFX. I wonder if SOLO needs a test sled for the HFCs? If they're already working on it I guess they probably have it covered.

Just swap heads with the LLT and you can have bolt-on LT's and the available high-flow cats. Now, how much will that end up costing you? Hmm? Looks like GM saved you some mod money, after all!

The only restrictions unless you're pushing a high horsepower build are the cats and muffler. It makes no sense to swap heads or worry about headers.

Secondly - if you're really set on changing to a high-flow cat, buy generic ones and have a muffler shop put them in. No sense spending $800 for a pair of high flow cats when you can get two generic cats bought and installed for $500 less...

PS - By generic, I mean universal cats by MagnaFlow or other name brands...

That is what I was thinking I'm still pricing out stuff and comparing before I make any major purchases I hate to have buyers remorse and that price for Hi Flow cats seemed a bit extravagant to say the least lol
