I would like to change the color of the bulbs to luminate the licsenes plate. Frist off is it legal (I live in pa idk if different states have different laws) and secondly where would I get these bulbs I need red btw.

it is illegal to have any color besides white as your license plate lights

I changed to a set of LEDs and they looked great. After a month or so now they blink. So pissed.

I'm almost positive it is federal law you can't have red or blue lights in the front of your car. My buddy got a ticket for having blue lights on his windshield wiper fluid sprayers on the hood :/

i have white leds in my dome, trunk, and license plate. i get all mine from v-leds.com, but their website doesn't seem to be working right now. you can try ijdmtoy.com or AAC, they have great products and a warranty

Gman...u can also try another vendor on the site...JWMotoring. They shipped quick and I have not had any problems with them, other than making my reverse lights look really dull and yellow! Good to have options. Good luck!

I ordered mine from AAC ......INCREDIBLE difference. Everyone should replace those ugly yellowish factory lights.
