how many passes on DR's?

so the plan is to grab some M/T drag radials. my question is how many passes on average are u guys getting on these before you need new ones? i mean i at 370 bucks a tire i dont wanna have to buy new ones every month lol. On friday i got 15 passes in one night.

It's not the passes the kill a DR. It's how hard you burnout with them. If you don't melt then you can get 100's of passes. If you do long burnouts youll get 50. Each manufacture has a guideline for burnout procedures that work for that particular tire.

I have 10 passes And 5,000 mile on mine

Do a 3-5 sec burnout then roll out

Back in water box spin tires for like 1 sec
Then pull forward out of box
Then do ur burnout

still alot of life left? i mean im not going to DD these things. its just for the track.

Just for the track... How often will you go in a year? I think you'll get a few years out of them.

It's addicting. My guess is you'll get 150/200?? or so on a set but it's so hard to predict. Time will tell.

yea 305's are the plan.

and these will be the wheels, just ordered them tonight actually. went with 19's

yea, it was a trade off. $60 per wheel. couldnt say no.

Should last a couple of years if you only use them for the track, though personally I would swap them out after 2 years. Don't store them in direct sunlight.

When I hit the track my first burnout is the longest, the follow-up ones are much shorter.

How did you do? Saturday was my first time ever, too. It was awesome I made 14 passes, but wasn't sure how hard I should run my car in one night, so I stopped after that.

not so good....well i mean not as good as i wanted to. 13.7xx was my best. my 60' is 2.1xx so ive got some work to do. but i guess its DA corrected down to about a 13.3...so not so bad.

That's not so bad for your first time. I was running in the 13-13.2 range, and I think the DA sort of sucked. My best 60ft was like 2.02 or something, and I think my highest trap speed was 109. I'm sure we both have some room for improvement, but the main thing is it was fun. That really got the adrenaline pumping

Haha, yeah, the first time I lined up my heart was pounding, but after a few passes I calmed down a bit It's a really nice feeling to go WOT and not have to worry about speeding tickets and cops.
