Couple of simple questions
How does trading in a vehicle work? And what's the oldest vehicle you can trade in....? Also do you have to trade in a Chevy? The last question is do they even let you trade in on a Camaro? Sorry for all the silly questions looking to buy a 2012 2LT RS so i have just been wondering thank you =]]]

This is not a silly question at all man.. It depends on the dealer and what they will take as per how old.. Usually Yes mostly any delearship will accept a trade.. Nowadays they have Wholesalers who come to the lot to take cars for auction..They inspect the car and give a price and then the dealer lets you know how much they will give you for it ..If you own it its free cash depending on how good the deal is.. if you still have payments.. You will want to try and see how close to the note total to wipe it out or roll it into the new car *which I don't advise.. It puts you upside down immediatley) Gone are the days of Used car lots etc.. I mean you still see them but not like years ago..

it's probably better to sell your car private party. you'll get more for it. if you do end up trading your car in, the dealer will give you close to kelley blue book value for a trade in. Or at least they should be in the same ballpark. that money can then be rolled into a down payment on a camaro.

Anything older than 2005 I would say go private anyway because the dealer probably won't give you what you want on a trade-in.

Traded in a 1950 chev truck for my Camaro. And paid 5800.00 difference. Good deal for me. The car was 57,000.00.
