roadrage41- Our ride was here in Cedar Rapids area. It was bikes and cars both for Linda Carlson. She was killed by a texting driver on Highway 30 in May. A very nice lady who lived life to the fullest. She was really cool. We had a great turn out and a good time remembering Linda. Her biker friends are awesome people !

For those I did and didn't have a chance to text today, the 28th Annual Vinton Cruise is this weekend and all the details...

Registration starts at 3:00 PM and goes until 6:45 PM and the cost is $10. The proceeds go to the volunteer fire department for equipment and training(at least that's what they said last year). The cruise starts at 7:00 pm and goes until 8:30 pm.

Those that came last year know it's a lot of fun. I'd say there were probably a good 350-450 cars there last year. You don't have to worry about the Po-po either because some of them brought their cars to the cruise and burnouts are "discouraged".

Because there's a car show in Des Moines at Deery's, we can all meet at 5:00 pm on the south end of town in the new high school's parking lot just off Hwy 218, if the t-shirts are here I'll pass them out then, and then we can drive down to the courthouse together. We'll still have plenty of time to check out all the cars before the Cruise.

I figured the high school would be easiest since the guys from Des Moines, Ames, Ankeny, and beyond can just follow I-35 to Hwy 30 and head east to Hwy 218. The guys from Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, and points beyond can just head west on Hwy 30 to Hwy 218.

So far I have 3 confirmations... PwrManPaul66, Quackersacker, and Whitehorse.

Roy, Good to meet you finally. I would have liked to run that course yesterday. Cool they ran it backwards, looked to be very challenging.Fun time watching but the heat was a killer. Looking forward to some racing action with you soon.

The next AutoX is 28 July at Iowa Events Center in Des Moines enless your talking right there in the Waterloo area. I hope to see some of you come over the 28 and run here with us.

went to look at that car at karls after work and wow just wow is all i can say its a 2010 its ibm color white stripes 4,500 on the clock the retro grill and front end looks great but they want $52,500.00 it is for sale !

no zl1 for me dont really need that much car ! and yes grinch going different route so no high wing and yes it has sunroof ! but its a 2013 with the dual mode and heritage and new stereo head unit ! like i said though not a done deal but will know some time today they still need to pdi the car too !
