Just Installed them, no problems. I do reccoment putting some weather stripping on the inside to make sure they are a nice snug fit.

WOOHOO! Received mine today! Minutes to install, seconds until I was burning out and using my manual mood! I love them, I will recommend them to all of my Camaro friends. I would like to see some type of thread that can be followed by those that have suggestions and modifications of this product.

Do you happen to have a pic of how you installed the weather stripping?

I don't have a picture. I attached a 3/4inch long piece of weather stripping (1/4inch thick) to the inside of the aluminum button that fits into the OEM hole. <-- This is referring to the peice that the aluminum paddle is secured to via the 3 torx screws. I attached the sticky side of the stripping to the aluminum and put it in.

Was the initial fit loose?

Any issues with clearance between the shifter paddles and the steering wheel while driving or turning?

The original buttons have a layer of foam in them. I just gently pulled out that foam and transferred to the new paddles. Not a loose fit issue, just makes them a little quieter, and for me I like the fact that it gives a little insulation. Circuit right below the button or paddle.

No clearance issue. Look at the first few pages of this thread. There a pictures and videos showing clearance, and sound.
Pages 1, 4, 5, and 16 have videos.
Hope that helps.

Mine are a little loose, going to try the weather stripping trick.

No clearance issues, however I find my self constantly hitting them when making turns. Also I keep accidentally shifting up & down. Might just need to get use to them.

I found the initial fit to be a little loose. The weather stripping took that play out.

Installation question

Got mine yesterday, they look great. However, I'm really anal about my car so here's the question. First, the buttons came off easily. 2nd, I could easily put the top tit in the top hole, but when reading the inclosed instructions it looked like I was supposed to use the small screwdriver somehow in the installation process, while the video just showed it being snapped in. Is there a trick or a tip. As I said, I'm anal and don't want to breaat anything.
Thanks

I did not find it necessary to use a screw driver, just push up an in, it will snap in no problem.

I recommend using a small flat screw driver to allow you to push away the plastic housing , this way the aluminum teeth wont scratch the plastic.

If you install them the way they should be, you should feel it or hear a Click, then they wont come off, even if you pulled.

Once installed correctly, they wont come off easily.

Paddle install

Here is a photo of the tools I used for the install. I too used household weather striping to replace the small black sponge.

OK so i glanced through the thread looking for a DIY for removing the paddles on a 2012, didn't see it. Also tried Google and didn't see anything.

I made an assumption, and yes i know what that means, that appears to be false that removal would be similar to the buttons.

do you by chance have instructions on removing the OEM paddles on a 2012? Perhaps I missed it.

I am guessing that the small black foam you are all talking about was on the back of your factory buttons when you removed them? I had nothing on mine. Anyone got a picture of this stuff? What areas inside the button have you put it?

The click isn't bad, but I might put some on like most others anyway.

I got mine today as well, they look great, but I see where some may get cut from the edges, no big deal though some 300 grit sandpaper and everything is smooth.

Could someone please post a photo of where you put the weatherstripping, I just want to make sure I got it right so I don't ever have to remove them to do again.
