Guys, I finally got to sit in a ZL1 yesterday. Black on Black, #1031 in Colorado Springs, on the showroom floor.

It was a religious experience. I couldn't even get in at first. It was like there was a force field around the car. My knees were feeling weak.

ZL1, the Kate Beckinsale of automobiles.

As soon as I find a new job, I will be back in there.

I'll get my teeth whitened, because the ULTRAGRIN will be more impressive that way.

No I didn't say it wasn't. I did say that the cage helped in this roll over.

Sans cage, it there would have been more damage. By no means does this detract from the robust structure of the 5th Gen off the assembly line.

Your teeth would have to combine in a gazillion watt smile for anyone to notice the two of you standing next to a pair of ZL1s and Kate.

Not to be to picky but could one of the Camaros be a Z/28?

Yes...but then you wouldn't need the teeth whitener......your ultra-perma-grin would outshine Kate's klieg lights!

I can see why they're saving the money on recertifying. We already love it. The mags and this site will show what it can do.

Yes to have a thread that gets that much attention ANNNNND that only uses posts of beautiful women when it is necessary to futher the discussion or enhance a point on topic ANNNNND only has moderator involvement when they drop in to say "Hola!!" is pretty amazing.

I think some are missing the point of the 1LE. It is a beefed up track package with a more robust suspension AND driveline with better handling. With the tires it should eliminate/reduce the understeer complaint and be a really fun toy on a track day for those that don't want to or can't blow the coin on the ZL1.

Not that it's anything Pete can't hook you up with for your SS for the chassis upgrades, but for a limited number of people it probably hits the mark to have a more robust driveline and chassis.

BTW, do you think the folks that dropped SCs on their SSs and didn't visit Pete might like this package as their starting point?

I most like the lower ratio trans and rear axle gearing on the 1LE. It's a step in the right direction towards....uhemmm...well, you know...

It is pretty dang amazing. After all this time it still has that "homey" feel to it.

If there is a Gen 5 Z/28, I doubt there will be much said about it before release.
