Looks awesome. Nice job. I did the same thing to my '93 with POR-15. Required almost zero prep and held up like a champ!

How'd you manage to move your brake from the left side of the wheel to the right?
Lol j/k. Good job. What did you use to paint the rotors?

I did this as well to fix my rusty rotor problem. I used a wire brush to get as much of the rust off as possible, taped the rotors/calipers, and then used some high-temp semi gloss black ceramic spray paint.

Here you go! See my write up below, gravity isn't your friend if you look at the bottom of the rotor, it showed up in the picture, but doesn't contrast as much in natural light.
Here's my quick write up: After trying to get most of the rust off the rotor hats, I taped off the calipers, studs, and rotor face with some newspaper and painter's tape. If you use small pieces of painter's tape, 1/2 inch or so, you can do the circle pretty well. Then I hit the rotor hats with at least 3 coats of spray paint. ** Do a couple of light passes, if you go too heavy, gravity takes hold and you can get some drips and runs ** After about an hour, using tape and newspaper, I taped off the rotors and began doing the caliper paint. The calipers will require at least 2 coats to level the brush strokes and cover up the original color (At least if you do red). I would do one caliper, then move onto the next. Good luck! |

Car only had 100 miles on it so there wasn't too much rust. I just used scotchbrite to clean them up, taped everything off then I used caliper paint. Soooo worth it.
