Yes. If you're able to, a glass sealant will help with maintenance and cleaning as well

Yes, they actually need claying more often than paint.

Cool thanks. Any tips on how to clean the inside of them I've tried everything up to newspaper and can not get them clean. Just a bad angle I guess

I use FW1 high performance cleaning wax on my glass after clay. You can't put a finger print on the glass afterwards. Bugs wash right off too! www.fastwax.com

The inside of windshields is the bane of my existence. I just do the best I can to lay down and reach across with a glass microfiber. I really hate it though, just thinking about it aggravates me.

I can correct a swirled to hell paint job., no problem. But can i clean a windshield without leaving streaks? Nope. C'est La vie

I picked one of those window extenders with a MF towel attached. It's ok but not the same as my arm, but does the trick. Bigger bane, that damn break light. Schooch suggested a MF towel wrapped on a spatcula.

You got that right. The only reason the windshield takes #1 for me is that I have to look through the damn thing all the time. At least I don't have to look at the dirty spot behind my brake light.

To be honest with you though. In the 40k, 3 years I've owned my car, I've only had to clean the back window twice. It doesn't get that bad for me. :dunno:

I always forget to put the windows up before I go mud-bogging.

The cleanest I've ever got my windshield is a can of Stoners Invisible Glass followed by a bucket of water and newspaper.

Speaking of cleaning behind the third brake light, this is what my wife gave me to use, fold a paper towel over it, works awesome. http://www.pamperedchef.com/ordering...&words=scraper

I just go find the nearest midget stripper and have her clean it for me.

I've heard the fee is very small. You really don't want to shortchange her though. She can get a little testy.
