If we get sprinkles, we work with them. If it is hard rain, we wait it out. Lighting or severe weather we seek safe shelter. Based on recent Indiana weather or biggest concerns are hydration and sunburn.

Is there an image of the Auto-X course that could be posted? I'm interested in seeing the layout. This is my first time doing this and I don't want to embarrass myself by missing a corner or three.

due to a recent turn of events i will no longer be able to participate in the auto-x because there was a delay with getting my new tires and rims on my car till after the fest the current wheels on the car are not preferred for racing

There will be time to walk the course before cars run. Get there early before your run group!

It hasn't been designed or set up yet...

We are going to outline the course in chalk down both sides in addition to cones (so I was told, anyway) to aid novice drivers.

We will also have a few instructors to help new people get sorted out that can go for a ride with you.

Anyone working Saturday AM that would like to swap to a Saturday PM volunteer spot let me know, my wife and I are on opposite volunteer shifts and no longer need that to be the case.

I'll be at the site tomorrow. Rob, Dan Danny and others will be in shortly. We have a lot of ideas, but until you see the facility, lay out the idea as a course and drive it you don't really know if it works. We need a course that is FUN, SAFE, technically challenging and efficient. We have a LOT of drivers and we want to get as many runs in as possible. That means we need to target small areas where cones are at risk. Then we make sure we have a TEAM cover that corner. One chases / replaces cones while the other spots for the next car. If we can replace conces safekly on the fly we can run a lot more cars.

Long story short, as soon as we have a course set it will be posted here.

The oval is out. The West portion of the Road Course is in.

The oval would have been fun, but I have no doubt that more than one C5 member would have kissed a wall. No matter how I ran possible course layouts the oval walls were too close for comfort. We are going to have a FANTASTIC Autocross.

Sorry guys, I think I am going to have to back out...I am bringing my 6 month old and wife with me and all the gear I need to bring him I wouldn't be able to leave it in the car per the rules...I am still willing to help out during the session I signed up for

You can store that special gear in our trailer if that helps.

Don't let that stop you! Hell, unload it near me and put it back when done. Or the trailer like Pete suggested. Something like that. I'll watch your stuff, it won't walk off.

I really figure a lot of folks will be doing this with last minute things they forget to take out of the car.

I also wanted to know if the course continued, or the end of the video is the end of the track. It sounded like in the video there was a little more to it, that where they went straight at the end was only if you over shot the corner

Now you all know why I got here early.

You'll see cones and no cans.

The start and stop positions are close to the start and stop positions.

When you run it you will love it. If we stay reasonably clean on cones your get a fair amount of runs. REGISTER ONLINE NOW!!!
