Ahh!! How do I get this stain out of my stripe?
I have an orange tree sap like looking stain on my NEW NS-1 Stripes!
![]() ![]() ![]() I've tried goo gone, detail spray, and hand polish (pretty mild abrasives) from turtle wax and nothing's worked. I really don't want to replace my stripe as it is less than 1 month old. Does anyone have any ideas about what to do to get it out?

I would try not sure if you meant this by hand polish, but turtle way rubbing compound for clear coats. I use it all the time to take stuff off the car...
while you work on it... ![]() might take a few times....

I would not use rubbing compounds on it. You will damage it.

On vinyl? You need to be very careful, you can easily damage the stripe with any compounding. Also, if the stripe has a flat finish, the compound will make the area more shiny then the rest of the stripe.

All of the vinyl manufactures strongly discourage the use of heavy abrasives, which would include compounds.

I had a bird bomb stain/etching on the glossy red vinyl stripe on my hood. Although I removed it as soon as I got home from work, it appeared that the damage was already done. I tried using detail spray to remove to no avail.
Unbelievably, after sitting outside at work in the hot sun the next day, the vinyl seemed to have "repaired" itself. There is no longer even a trace of the stain/etch. I was completely amazed.

Vinyl is, to a certain extent, resilient. Heating it up probably does help with some minor imperfections.

![]() Either way, I'm happy that it's a lot less noticeable, and as soon as possible, I'm going to be putting a layer of wax on it!
