'13 SS polished wheels-must order RS and upgrade wheels?

My salesman can not enter polished 20" wheels without including RS and upgrading the wheels. Two differernt dealers tried it but wouldn't go through. The '13 catalog doesn't state this. Is this correct? Thanks!

It's been that way for each model year, not just the '13s. The 20" polished could only be ordered on the SS with the RS package. Maybe it has something to do with the Brembo brakes, I don't know.

Thanks for the info on the polished wheels. Catalog says requires available RS on LT for polished wheels. According to dealer all models must be RS for upgraded polished.

Um No.......I ordered Polished 20s on my 2010 and I do not have a RS package. Maybe this just started for 2013.

Incorrect. Polished wheels were an available upgrade across all models except LS, in 2010 at least.

I tried to order as 2013 with polished wheels and i could not do so without adding the RS package. I think your dealer is legit in there statement.

For some reason on the 2013 SS cars, you must order RS to get polished wheels. When you select polished wheels, it forces RS package onto the order. Now in the past, you've had to get RS to get them on the LTs but that's because the LT doesn't come with 20s standard. The SS does so I'm not sure if this is a glitch or if it's the way GM is doing it now.

That is the same way as it was when I ordered my 2010. With the RS Package the wheels can be upgraded to Polished.

But it hasn't been that way on SS cars until this year. You have always been able to get the polished wheels on an SS without having to order RS.

My dealer changed my order on my 2LT/RS to get the 20' polished aluminum wheel to RPO code RUY. I seen the car when it arrived Saturday and actually prefer them over the painted aluminum ones on my current 2011 Camaro. At first by just seeing pictures I wasn't so sure though!

$413 invoice? I thought invoice was $0 on the polished, but have to get the RS package (obviously). I didn't pay for my upgraded wheels...

On the global connect -order a new vehicle- RPO#RUY "Polished wheels" $470. MSRP, $413.60 invoice. This cost is beyond the required RS cost as RS comes with the painted wheels. True, polished wheels can not be entered without RS.
