A little off topic, but... I believe the 1LE and ZL1 use the shame shifter. It's supposed to be a short throw shifter comparable to the factory Hurst option, but at a fraction of the cost. GM list price on the shifter is $186.50 vs the factory Hurst at just over $850. You have to run the ZL1 knob, and possibly the shift boot also though. Uncomfirmed if the SS/LT/LS 2013 knob will work as of yet.

ZL1 (1LE) Short Throw Shifter

I hope these 1LE parts are a good option for us supercharged guys. I would think that they would be if they are the same parts that are on a ZL1?

I already threw down on a set of used DSS 1000hp axles, so I'll probably just stick with those.

If the drive shaft is the same, then I'll just stick with my original plan of a DSS one piece aluminum.

Darn this is awesome - I looked around on the web and found these axles and hubs pretty well discounted. Can't find pricing on the gears yet though I am willing to patiently wait hoping the housing will be for sale with the gears installed.

Deff. interested in front sway bar pricing! I came across the specs before, but I can't seem to find them now. Anyone know the size of the sway bars? I believe they are solid, and not hollow?

My dealer quoted the 3.91 gears at $331.05. That's using the part number supplied.

I believe you are correct at 27mm/28mm on the 1LE. My notes show the ZL1 having 25mm/28mm sway bars. So the 1LE bars are probably a better combo to get for the SS upgrade.

Wow this is great news. I am really interested in the gears. As soon as I can I will probably get them, I dont want to wait like I did for the ZL1 hood and watch the price double.

Anyone know the price/part number for the whole differential? Any updates on the rear axles... what HP are they rated to? Are they actually stronger than the stock SS?

***EDIT***

I guess I should have read through the whole thread again. So the real question is... does the SS use the same axle part number? If so, then we know they are just using the ZL1 hub.
