So i bought a VMAX throttle body from a vendor here going on 3 weeks ago. Decided to get it painted so i was told 2 weeks at the most. 2 weeks comes around and nothing yet, so i email the vendor who do not have a phone number on their website to get a hold off. was told they should be getting shipping numbers in the afternoon on monday. Tuesday comes around, nothing yet, so i give them another day, even though they are late as advertised to me. So i email them again and tell to give me a update, i get a reply saying that they can not get a hold of the people who are porting out the throttle bodies and nothing has even been shipped out. Nothing new today, no update on whats going on, i will not say the vendor yet, but i will definately keep this updated to give new members on my experience thus far. These vendors have to realize that we also pay the 200 dollars extra until they recieve the core back and than get our money back. Right now i could have had throttle body and my 200 hundreds, now i am screwed on both.

I know how you feel. I had to wait about 4 weeks to get the ported tb I sent out to get painted to come back and when I installed it something was def wrong and I tried everything. Luckily Rx performance has great customer service and they are taking care of it as we speak.

Were all at the mercy of the CNC shop that does the porting, and delays seem the norm for them as they have big jobs that take priority over these. We are trying to get funding to purchase a 5 axis CNC machine with digitizer so we can do it all in house and not be at their mercy, but were looking at well over $100k-$200k depending on the machine and accy's needed. Sorry to all waiting, but VMax is doing their best, and the core returns are coming back slowly also.
We have over $12k in cores alone invested to keep them flowing.

I found going directly to VMax Motorsports was the best move. I got a realistic quote, shipping time, delivery time and core credit to my account.

Hmmm......no way to get them any quicker as we all have these cut at the same time, and we do all the painting here no matter who you order from, and Pete usually wont take an order direct unless a unique circumstance where we ask a favor. VMax/us are at the mercy of the CNC shop and nothing any can do to hurry them as they have big contract orders that always come first. The only variable would be a JDP/Mike Norris/Apex/Jannetty/SW speed. etc that would have one left over from a previous batch and that is rare with the demand where it is again.

That stinks!
I hate delays.Quote:
Although sometimes the guy/gal doing the porting will shift things around if they want. Took a fuel injected intake from my Mustang into get ported and saw a whole line of carbureted intakes that were lined up ahead of me to get work done. Could be a week....two weeks....three weeks....lots of high dollar stuff in front of little-old me. But the guy doing most of the machining saw the challenge of all the runners on my fuel injected intake and decided it would be more fun to do mine first. Done in two days! That was a treat! But not often the case. I had to wait almost three months on a set of heads back from Sonny's Racing Engines. But the quality of work was worth the wait.
