i was just up at ips yesterday damn i didnt know that they did a 15 inch wheel setup for you im soo jelly now :(

I definitely am! It's going to be tight to get it all done for the Fest, but they are working hard to do it.

I have made a date with my car at IPS next Wednesday evening to polish and wax it. I won't have time for a complete detail, but I can at least get it cleaned up a bit.

I think it won't be long and you will be able to order the control-arm and trailing-arm kit through IPS. Give Brandon a call.

I have been harassing Brandon and Jeff for a while now I think they might have taking a vacation because of me ... LOL I just hope I get my car back this week

How's progress coming? I'm sure you are chomping at the bit to get this beast rolling. I can't imagine the countdown to fest ticker is helping either.

They are doing their best to get it done in time for the Fest. They worked on it until midnight last most nights for the last week. As of yesterday, the engine was in. (Notice the intake manifold fits under the hood.)

Pics I took yesterday morning...

This is the palette of parts yet to go in...

Front wheels for racing.

I got an emergency phone call last night. They had to use a spacer to get the valve covers to clear the LS7 rockers. But, the valve covers leaked. They found another set of valve covers online and I told them to have them shipped overnight express from California. They should have gotten them this morning.

Fingers crossed that they'll be starting it up and tuning it late today.

Got a couple more pictures of the Weld wheels on the car from Tom at IPS. I'm very pleased with them!

Wow looking good! Especially that intake. It will be done in time! Just hang in there. I was in the same position you are about a month ago, but the shop got engine, tranny, and turbos installed in 2 days! Looks like your almost there. Can't wait until it gets fired up!

Sorry I didn't post sooner. I've been at Indy all weekend and just got home.

The guys at IPS are amazing! They got the car running and tuned it on Thursday night. They brought it over to the fest on Friday and we did some test and tune passes. Mark Carlyle actually did the driving this weekend. (I want a little seat time in it before I line up at the track for the first time.)

On Saturday the car qualified second and it came in third for the V8 Unlimited Heads Up class with a best time of 10.067. The best trap speed was 143 mph.

Here is a video of our quarter final pass.

This was very much a test and tune weekend for the car. We think we can get quite a bit more out of it. We never got a really good launch.The car needs to have a transbrake installed and needs to have the converter dialed in a bit more. Also, they didn't get the boost controller installed yet. So, we ran at 12 psi this weekend off the waste gate springs.

I want to add that the guys at IPS, especially Tom and his team, worked their butts off to get the car ready in time for the Fest and they did a superb job. I am VERY grateful to that whole crew for what they did to make all of this happen this weekend. I also owe Mark Carlyle a huge debt of gratitude for driving my car and for hauling it to Indy for me. He is a truly generous and amazing person.

I see no reason why this car won't run 8's once everything is finished up.
