I thought so.... I still have that ticket. I did not run the full 1/4..... was no point after having to dump her in 3rd to get traction But I can say with confidence that I can run consistent 12.3's..... I have about 7-8 from our last outing

Hope you guys behave yourselves this weekend with the Mustangs. They have some fast running stuff and a few of your might be walking away with your tails between your legs and pride hurt!

Go have fun and improve your personal standings!

Its all in good fun Howard!! It's just some good ol' natured shit talking... I don't think anyones really gotten too serious...

I've done some research and it does seem like a lot of those boys have some quick rides... benefit of a lighter body and cheaper parts lol

For me, win or lose it doesnt matter (well... maybe a little lol) its more important that everyone stays 'striaght' and is able to drive home! If I lose it just gives me more motivation to work harder and make some more $$ - this way I can dump it all into the car lol..

As long as we all have fun thats what counts... its the comraderie(sp?) that I look forward to....

Some of the mustank guys seem cool enough... others... eh, lets just say they fit the stereotype....lol

Lol. Feels like my car is running like this everyday lately. This heat sucks and is just sapping my power. I bet my wifes Traverse could give me a good run right now. I have noticed virtually zero performance hit on that baby. Peppy as all hell while i'm dogging it in the sun.

That's funny!

I needed a good laugh at the end of the day!

I'm sure you guys will have fun but I've been around the GM vs. Ford confrontation for a few years......it gets heated at times. We are loyal to each others brands. Those GT500's in the right hands are "Lethal" and the new 5.0 can boogie pretty good too!

Gary King, 29, was arrested Sunday and is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail without bail. He is facing charges aggravated assault and battery.

King was arrested after West Palm Beach Police officers spotted him driving south on North Jog Road on Sunday morning. They were searching for him after his 33-year-old wife called police at 9:54 a.m. to allege that King had pointed a gun at her.

While in custody, King told the officer that he had a fight with his wife and she threatened to hit his car with a metal bar. King said that when she hit his car, he pointed a gun at her, but he had “made sure” that he had taken out the magazine and the chambered round, according to the arrest report.

Further, King told the officers that it wasn’t his intent to hurt her; he just wanted her to stop damaging his car.

Back at the couple’s home, the wife, whose name was withheld in the report, told officers that it all started the night before when King showed up late and “appeared intoxicated.” She woke up to learn that King had been drinking red wine and had spilled it on the rug.

The woman said she argued with King about the spill and about him taking the PlayStation upstairs. Because King ignored her, the woman said she “jumped” on King’s laptop and broke it; King allegedly laughed at her.

Angered, the woman said she threatened to hit his car, the report said. As she walked down the stairs, the woman said King threatened “I will shoot you,” but she “did not believe him.”

So, the woman grabbed a metal lug wrench and hit his car, which is when King ran up to her and pointed the gun at her head, according to the report. The two then struggled — as she kept reminding him that she was two months pregnant — until he pushed her all the way into the bathroom and threw her into the tub.

King’s wife said she then stopped talking and waited for King to leave.

The stupidity in this story is overwhelming... I dont know where to start lmfao...

So the guy comes home drunk, spills red wine on the rug, says f*ck it and grabs the playstation and heads upstairs

The wife being the crazy bitch she is - "jumps" on the laptop and breaks it... he apparently didnt care cause he was drunk and chillin upstairs with the PS3...

So she says she's going to take a tire iron to his car... he warns her, he was going to shoot her... so what does she do... she bashes his car...

Hmmm.. all this guy did was spill wine on the rug and the wife flips her shit...

Best line: he pointed a gun at her, but he had “made sure” that he had taken out the magazine and the chambered round if that bitch wasnt preggo we'd be discussing a "missing person" report... that baby saved her life....

I wouldve burned that ****ing house to the ground, after I pissed all over that rug

Thought i'd post this for anyone who does not know how to do a DA correction.

Have you ever been to the track and heard a gearhead say, "Damn the DA is crappy today!" and you think to yourself what the hell is DA? DA stands for Density Altitude and it's the way drag racers correct thier times to compensate for weather conditions and altitude. Changes in weather and altitude can play a huge role in how your car performs. Keep in mind that some tracks are just plain faster/slower than others thanks to differences in timing equipment, the grade of the track, track surface, and the way MPH is calculated.

Here's how to start:

1) Find out the elevation of your track. Use a good search engine and you should be able to find it.

2) Go to www.wunderground.com and find the city where your track is. Once you've located your area, you can dig up historic weather conditions for any day in the past 10 years. Scroll down to bottom left to get historical data by plugging in the date. You'll want to get the temp, baro pressure, and dew point of the time and date of your run.

3) Go to http://wahiduddin.net/calc/calc_hp_dp.htm and input your numbers. Hit the calculate button and locate the calculated Density Altitude. The DA number generated is the calculated theoretical altitude during you run.

4) Take your DA number and apply to the NHRA correction factors table http://www.gnttype.org/techarea/misc/altitude.html

5) Calculate your numbers and that is what your car should have run under ideal conditions. Sometimes your DA actually shows NEGATIVE altitude which means the car is performing far better than normal and there's nothing to correct and compensate for. Usually only coastal areas in the South, East Coast, and Northeast will experience these rare conditions thanks to low altitude and strong high pressure areas due to the proximity of the ocean (~400 miles). It's also a primary reason most of the "freak" cars reside in these regions.
