System Question
Going to get some subs for the Z, wanting to put 2 10"s in the sides with those form fitting sub boxes.
I've always liked polk, but thought about getting Boston Acoustic just to keep a theme. How many watts can the stock system handle? Or would you even hook it up to the amp, and just have the subs alone wired to the amp? If you were to do it like this, how many watts would you get for the amp? And where all would you hook it up? Also, any advice on amp mounting areas would be appreciated. |

I would be surprised if the stock system had 5 watts total. The "premium" system probably has 6. Total Garbage.
I hooked up a BA GTA 1000M amp to the rear speakers, running a BA G3 12" sub in a 1 cuft box. I originally had my amp mounted to a shelf under the rear deck. Now building a rack/box holder to mount 3 amps and a crossover. ![]() For signal, you can either tap the rear speakers and run the high input into your amp if it has high input, or connect a LOC to those wires and run an RCA patch cord to the amp's RCA inputs.
