It started cutting out at about the 1000' mark and I coasted in from there. It got progressively worse from there. Did a good burn out and launched at about 1500 with TC off. Got a little past the 1/8th point and it cut out so coasted from there. Third run I barely made it to the 1/8th, and well the last one I made it maybe 300'.
3G - looks like some room for improvement - the potential in the car is there like John was saying - I just had a few questions...

What was 'cutting out'? Has Rx got the fuel issues more or less resolved? On these runs, what was your boost levels and what is the highest boost level you can achieve w/o using the methanol injection- if its even possible for you to use high boost w/o meth?

Thanks, David

Were fine to 5-6# and it is above that we run into the issues. Adding a 2 bar MAP and redoing the tune and that should take care of most of the issues.

I was running 8 psi (the lowest I can go with the springs they have in the turbos). First and last runs were with no meth.

Not sure exactly what is going on. Obviously it got progressively worse. On the dyno we only pulled WOT in one gear. So it maybe something related to the adaptives in the ECU. It seems we have the fuel at the HPFP, but maybe the in-tank pump can't keep up now or the adaptives are undoing what Vince has changed. Maybe he's not finding all the tables that need to be tweaked. Either way, I just need to log it at the track to figure out exactly what is going on. I don't like doing that at the same time I'm driving, but they wouldn't allow ride alongs this weekend. This may take a while to figure out, so just be patient everyone. As always, I'll share what I learn so you guys can take advantage of it.

I know how you feel man, you know your car is very capable of it but there is just one thing or another that is holding you back. Sitting here with this OD pulley making 10 psi of boost and knowing that my car is capable of doing so much more is just downright frustrating.

This is what it's all about. I remember my first time running a car down the track, and remember my Dad taking me to a track the first time(can you say Garlits, Prudhomme, Muldowney, McEwen?)

Not sure about that. Both the stock 18 steelies and the stock 20s weigh about the same. Plus the 20s have a stickier tire.

True. The only lighter and more advantageous stock rims you can get are the 23lb 1LT rims. The special 19 inch rims are also slightly lighter than the 20's and 18's.

Sorry but if you look at the best quarter times the Pirellis hook better than the BFG's. Has anyone actually measured the tire diameters ?

Diameters are the same. Width of the BFG's are like a skinny truck tire, though.

+1 pirellis are way better. The lighter weight of the 1lt 18s with improve trap speed though. Going from my 20s to 18s + an intake I went from trapping 97 to 101.5.

Nice run but I feel like a bolt on V6 should be deep into the 12s with a 100 shot. Any chance you can throw that into a DA calculator?

105 mph should be good for 12s, auto or manual?

DA will have almost no affect on a car running nitrous until you start combining it with another power adder.

DA shows that it is right between 2 time slots, so I have calculated both

DA of 2106 nets a 13.184 @ 107.269

DA of 1779 nets a 13.232 @ 106.889

Running an auto with street tires that have about 22,000 miles on them and a non-posi unit.

Not spraying out of the hole, when I do it just spins the tires.
I sprayed at about 3500 rpms. Once I get the SS posi and the DR's I should get better traction and better ET's.

Thanks!!

So I just made a couple runs at my drag strip, I think something is either wrong with me or the car. Im running a BBK Cai, Trifecta tune, Ported TB, Long Tube Headers and a SLP exhaust. My best time tonight was a 14.539. Any input? Do I need to datalog and send the tune back to Vince?

You'll probably need to provide some more info. At the very least, your 1/8 mile time and speed, your 60', and your 1/4 trap speed. DA would help as well. What times were you expecting to run?
