Im confused. I went to get touch up paint at the dealer for my sim 2Ss/RS . The touch up paint they gave me from my vin# is switch blade silver. Is this right? Im confused

Shouldn't be. SIM is Silver Ice Metalic not Switchblade Silver

The paint is called swicth blade silver, when I ordered my spoiler thats the color they used. same think on my pt chip from the dealer

Thats what they said. Ok. Ill try it and see. I hate touch up paint as a whole though. Thanks to careless people who park too close and fling their doors i have no choice. :-(

GM renames there paints ever so often, I think red jewl tint was once called candy apple red back in the 50's or 60's or at least that is what I was told! anyway the two silvers are one in the same, better to go by the GM paint code than actual name!

I hear ya, even though the car is not my DD , I do my best to keep it clean and covered, but when I take it out always some one who gets to close for comfort

Yeah GM changed several names of colors though they were on in the same with the original color name. Name all depends on which brand it is used on and sometimes depends on the actual model.
