I'll gladly compare the build quality of my SS to my 335i any day. My SS has a special place in my heart since its been my dream car for as long as I can remember. But in all honesty my DD BMW is much better built. I have over 100,000 miles on it and the cabin is still as quiet as the day I bought it when it had 12,000 miles. Once I removed the run flats it was virtually silent inside at any speed. My SS barely has 20,000 and is already developing squeaks in the cabin.

I will say though, I have been very fortunate with my turbos. Ive only had to take it in once for the waste gate and it was repaired with no major questions about any mods. Not all 335i owners have been so fortunate. Other than that it's been nothing but routine maintenance. I'm even heavily modded with no issues. I fully believe my BMW will reach 200,000 with minimal repairs. I don't doubt my Camaro will make it there one day, but I highly doubt it will age as gracefully as my DD.

Ain't that the truth. My friends had all talked the M3 up as one of the best cars they have ever driven. TBH it actually didn't feel all that great to me. I felt very disconnected from the road. Now that being said the interior was one of the nicest I've ever been in(not that I've been in tons of luxury cars...).

Chevy runs deep...into debt. What does this mean. BMW M3 will leave you wallet empty in the long term, Chevy will not. Turner Motorsports who races and repairs BMWs will even conform this. BMWs always need something fixing in the long run.

IMO, the Lexus IS-F is going to be the most reliable sports sedan. Not quite as fast as the M3, but a heck of a lot cheaper to maintain. I work with Lexus, and no one ever complains about the IS-F. That 5.0L V8 is a beast too.

IS-F is actually faster than M3 do your research on the strip performance.

Doesn't everything need fixing in the long run? You can find someone for every car brand that says they're shit. There are always haters out there. It's your job to experience the brand for yourself and filter through the bullshit and make your own call. People love to rip on Bimmers even though they've never owned one themselves. I've written it off to an envy thing. Everyone loves to hate the top dog.

Also, pretty sure someone who drops the money for an M3 isn't too concerned with the cost of maintenance. In actuality the V8 they had in the E9X models was pretty sound. Not many problems at all. I'm just hoping they can get their turbo issues fixed for good before the M4 comes out. Been thinkin about scoopin one of those up when they're released.

Theses cars aren't for the strip, they're for a road race. And the M3 will take it, I work with IS-F's as stated, I know where they excel, and where they don't.

i have a 2011 328 for my DD. nothing really crazy. when i leased it, didn't really think much of it. but i now feel BMWs are honestly just better cars in general. my 328 drives like a dream, a m3 would be nuts.

people who buy m3s have money. its not as big of a concern. its not going to run your wallet empty. also not everyone who buys them races them and mods them. right from factory they drive alsome.

I am sure Lex would hook your brother up with a clean M5 that has a lot of nice things done to it. (inside joke)

The M3 is sweet...very balanced and a heck of a lot of fun to drive. I am a big guy so I like the room the M5 afforded me. The Camaro is EXTREMELY comfortable for me...lots of room. I do not fit in the new Mustangs...and Japanese cars are soul-less machines - sorry.

well the m3 is the obvious choice but you cant compare those cars as they are in different price ranges and are different types of vehicles
