Do these go *over* your existing bowties ?

I know the gold does come out if you cut some tabs off so you could actually replace the gold with these....but I can't figure why it would need the 3M tape if that's how it works ?

They look good but seem a bit pricey since it is only the center part that is being replaced, not the entire bowtie.

I also wonder how they work on the rear bowtie....You take yours off and it's adhesive backed.....then you have to exchange the gold part.....then re-apply new 3M adhesive I reckon ?

I'm surprised no one on Camaro5 has them !

I saw someone at C5Fest in the pictures looked like they had them ?

The way it says adhesive backed in the description I'm surprised it doesn't just stick on over the face of your existing bowtie.

Yeah I reckon that would look a little weird if it's that thick.

I read in another thread today where people took a drill bit and put a small hole in the gold part and pried it off with a screwdriver....then stuck the replacement in.....I guess that's how these would work too.
