The way it says adhesive backed in the description I'm surprised it doesn't just stick on over the face of your existing bowtie.

it doesnt because it is actually a billet plate of aluminium and would stick out of placed over the emblem its about a quarter inch think

Yeah I reckon that would look a little weird if it's that thick.

I read in another thread today where people took a drill bit and put a small hole in the gold part and pried it off with a screwdriver....then stuck the replacement in.....I guess that's how these would work too.
