Suspension Upgrades Complete

Finally took a couple of pics of my car after installing all of my suspension parts and new wheels.

Here is what this mod session consisted of:
Pfadt Trailing Arms
Pfadt Toe Links
Pfadt Stage 2 Handling Kit
Pfadt Solid Subframe Bushings
Pfadt Diff. Bushings
Pfadt Rear Upper and lower control arm bushings
Pfadt Front control arm bushings
Pedders HD Front Radius Rod Inserts
TSW Nurburgring wheels

Suspension parts were purchased from Apex Speed, and the wheels were purchased from Discount Tire (they crushed every price on this site).

After getting the car aligned, it drives like a completely different animal. The improvement in handling and traction is unbelievable! Next step will be beefing up the drivetrain in preparation for the blower.

Wait till you try driving a car w/ OE style suspension.. Then you'll really notice how much different it is...

You get used to all the handling... It's like a damn drug..

Blower will make it a personal roller coaster.

Wow, I really like the overall look! Everything is perfect. The ride height is not too aggressive, but still noticeable more stanced than stock. The wheel fitment is aggressive, but classy and functional.

Lastly, I love the flat face and color against the red! Good job!

Thank you, I was really out of my comfort zone going with the Matte Gunmetal finish. Once the wheels were installed I loved the way they looked!

No problem... If you want to donate axles, driveshaft, or a Whipple I will give you another shout out! Hell, I'll even put an Apex sticker on my car LOL

you are pretty much doing exactly what im trying to do i have a blower cam going in right now but already attacked about all the suspension i can except for coilovers which will replace my springs next year along with ordering a blower as well. drivetrain is my only weakness i have left and i wanna get that before the blower goes on. Funny thing is i got JRE's smooth blower cam so u probally have that one or his Rough one.

So how long did the install take? Any gotchas or pretty straightforward?

Hard to say on the install time. I worked on it a couple of hours here and there over a period of 10 days.

Best advice that I can give, is to rent, borrow, buy, or steal the Cincy Speed differential bushing removal tool. This made removing the diff bushings a 15 minute hassle free job.

Another tip... Sawzall the front OEM sway bar to remove it. I wrestled with it for about a minute, then said screw it, I will never need the stock POS again! Cut and removed it in 30 seconds.

One more thing, you will need a press to remove most of the stock bushings. I brought my parts to work and pressed out the bushings on my lunch break.

While I had the subframe removed, I dropped the gas tank and installed a ZL1 fuel pump for the eventual blower.

I did all of this work by myself in my garage. Another set of hands and a lift would make the job much easier.

Kudos to the build. On smooth roads I am sure you do well. How is it on rough roads. And is there a lot of cabin noise with these parts.

Great job doing this without a lift. Sometimes we take our tools for granted here in the shop. Doing a Stage3 package definitely isn't impossible without a lift, but it sure makes it easier. Well done!

By the way, nice finish on the garage floor!

The difference in handling is amazing! On rough roads the ride feels slightly stiffer than stock, but not by much.

The only difference in noise is that the gear whine got a little louder when driving on the highway. It's not bad though, the wife didn't even notice.

Texas heat and humidity is a pretty effective motivation killer.
