You T-tapped the wrong wires. Look over the wiring instructions again and find the right wire.

My afterburners work when I hit the brake or unlock the doors, anything high intensity. The only time I dont get power to the lamps is when the low intensity bulb for parking is going. I tapped the right wires or else they wouldn't work at all. any suggestions? Should i pop off both the inner tabs on the bulb? wanna have this done for the dream cruise tomorrow

sorry but something is not right. The only way for your burners to go on with brake lights is if you tapped the wrong wire. the burners tap the parking light wire, the other thing that changes the brake lights is clipping the bulb. If your getting power to the burner with the brake lights on or hazards you have the wrong wire period.

Note the 3 Wires:
•
Black= Ground

•
Brown= Parking Lights

•
Green= Turn Signal
Attach a T-Tap to the Black and Brown Wires.

Attach the Red Wire to Brown and the Black to Black.

I will double check, when I initially tapped brown it didn't work so I tapped the yellow (driver side) and it did. You could very well be right. I am going to try now.

You need tiny miget hands.

I used a small rachet and got in there then squeezed my hand in and finished it off all the way.

Just be advised in some model years the colors are different then the instructions has them to be. Mine were, my middle wire was not brown it was purple. But no matter what color the black is always black and the other one (middle wire) is the one to use either its brown or purple and the outside wire pictures above as blueish green, sometimes yellow is NOT used.

So only use the black wire and the middle wire....black to black and other color to middle wire and should be good to go.

make sure to electical tape the wrong wire you t-tapped so you dont get an arch.

Hi, sorry to revive this thread.. but I just got the afterburners, and I bought the cheapest dremel I could find because when we used my friends for my fog light housing, it melted part of it.. I am getting ready to go buy a new dremel here within the next few days to get the job done.. does anyone have advice on which dremel I should buy, and if it worked good or as needed? Thanks in advance, Jeremy

Its the difference in cameras. See how everything in his pictures is a lil blurry? All you need is a little blur and each individual LED blends together to make a smooth light like his. Your picture is much more crisp, so you see each bulb.

This is thr problem with LED pictures lol, they may even look smooth in real life but if the rate of the power going to the LED's is different than the rate your eye sees or camera sees, they will look different from camera to camera, or camera to real life.

And also, I'm having some trouble with the wiring... I had everything wired, and they worked... then I pulled the bulb, clipped one of the inside filaments, and then the afterburners didn't work?? does anyone know what the problem is here? I'm worried that I will have to buy new bulbs to get them to even work in the first place..
