1LE - Hood Wrap
Curious... If you we're to remove the satin black hood wrap, has the hood it's self been painted body color along w/ the rest of the car?

Like any vinyl wrap, I'd guess that it could be removed w/a little work.
Thanks Becky!! SS/GA |

Wrap should have been an option IMO. I'm going to have to research so I know how to properly maintain it. 1,382 layers of wax? :P

I kid, I kid. The wrap being a matte finish is best maintained with soap and water and kept where birds can't do their business on it. It's going to be tough to maintain a spotless hood wrap that's black.

Definately should have been an option.

I wish it wasnt an option at all. Everyone is gonna think i'm trying to copy the 1LE and my hood has been black for almost 2 years now.

I'd rip it off the first day I had it. Hopefully there will be a delete option. Then either go with some hash marks or have the hood painted flat black with a flat clear over it. I don't see the vinyl lasting long, some of the CTF cars I've seen at shows and running around already didn't look so great. A picky person is constantly going to be seeing all the flaws in the flat vinyl. And when the hood is popped open you can see all the wrinkles at the corners and cut edges. I can't imagine they are thinking that will last long at all.

I like the flat black. But my experience with vinyl isn't good.
I agree with removing and adding hashes. |

At first, I disliked the hood wrap on the concept 1LE.
It has since grown on me, and I will be leaving it intact. It is part of the package that helps show you are driving a 1LE

I for one will be removing it and getting stripes painted on like the convertible concept car, not a fan of black hood or wheels but that's ok because it will make mine a little bit different.

You mean GM still hasn't learned the difference between exposed and unexposed? LOL
Should be a discount for the exposed hood!

I agree that the hood's black vinyl wrap looks very cheap, doesn't make justice to this great car. GM, Please allow us better the stripe option. When I buy this car, it will be the only thing that I will throw in the trash. |

It's painted on, so you'd have to repaint it if you really don't like it. Sorry

You're very wrong, it's a vinyl wrap...
