I want the T3 fascia myself for some reason I'm not a fan of the ZL1 fascia but I have yet to see one in person so I will wait till I see one to really judge it.. Good luck.. |

Putting a ZL1 fascia on doesn't make it a ZL1 wanna be. The ZL1 has better looking parts, plain and simple. which makes since, because it costs more. To not put them on because the ZL1 is the only car that comes stock with it is ridiculous. What if you prefer leather over cloth, but only have a 1SS. Would you not put leather seats in your car because you would be a 2SS wanna be?? I put stock halos on my non RS car.. does that mean I want to be RS so badly? or is it a fact that the halos look better than the halogen lights.. |

Here's my LS with the "SS" front bumper. It's a straight-forward swap. Extra parts you'll need include the lower grill, mail-slot insert, and lower air deflector. You'll also need wheel well liners (something I overlooked), but you can make your liners work. Cost of SS bumper is $300-400 vs ZL1 at ~$1,300 (plus the cost of paint for both). If you can go the ZL1 route, definitely do it!

Dude...why would you want to swap for a ZL1 or an SS bumper? You already have the best looking one on your V6. Don't you already have a mailbox at your house?
Seriously, go for the ZL1...if you must... |

Thanks! I'm debating whether or not to use the same backdrop for pics after I install drop springs this week... Gonna see if I can find a new location first.

Thanks I purchased everything from Gary's customs (front bumper conversion, and the ZL1 spoiler) the ZL1 wheels from a friend and the ZL1 hood from Ebay.

Public in general can't tell the difference anyway. My biggest gripe with the LT fascia was the lack of a proper aftermarket splitter that didn't cost me a ball and a half. I switched over to an SS and spent less than $800 including paint. Whatever your choice, make sure you replace your fender liners with the proper ones. The LT liners will work with the SS fascia, but it won't properly bolt up.

That's the main reason I wanted the SS bumper. Couldn't find V6 splitters that appealed to me. That, and I prefer T3 ports over the T2's.

Well I have an LS, and dont have fog lights. Thats why I went with a T3 bumper with custom paint. I also believe the ports are functional, venting cool air into the engine bay. Oh and I like the mail-slot.

![]() ![]() As long as you don't badge it an SS or a ZL1 you will be fine. I was at a car show last weekend. There was a corvette there that looked like a ZR1, but it was a 2009 I believe with a LS2 motor in it... That would be fine... except that he had the ZR1 emblems on the fenders... :slice:

Then the owner's become attached to them and then mod as funds become available to suit their needs and if their goal is one to have their car look and act like a more powerful car, they usually end up spending what it would of cost to have purchased the higher performance vehicle. In the end, it comes down to what makes the owner of the vehicle happy with their ride. If not, sell and upgrade or sell and downgrade, save, then upgrade. Or hit the lottery and go out get whatever "floats your boat". Have a wonderful day

I can buy a 2LT with all the goodies a 2SS has, and throw on a few of the ZL1 exterior parts for way less than it costs me to buy a ZL1. Then I have lower insurance, and better gas milage. I don't go to the track or feel the need to prove my car that i didn't build is faster than someone else's car they didn't build. So like I said, a decent size engine + looks and comfort will do most just fine. |

I like the V6 bumper and wouldn't change it, just add the heritage grill. But if you want to change it that bad get this: http://rideskinz.bigcartel.com/produ...-bumper-fascia That will give you an aggressive look without being a copycat of the SS or ZL1.
