I meant to keep in touch with you via Zello after we split up. I made it about another 40 miles and was losing the battle with sleep. pulled off at a gas station and grabbed a couple monster energy drinks, took a leak, stretched my legs then got back on the road...

only to wind up sitting in one lane traffic right off the onramp outside of gatlinburg for about 2 hours for a wreck.

I know if I hadn't pulled off when I did, I woulda had to stop and nap in the truck...lol

When did you start flying? I didn't know you were working on your private license...hell we could have talked about that for hours on the way home.

Yeah we should have kept chatting, I was sitting there doing whatever it took to stay awake. I didn't get tired at all on the drive up, but after an hour on the road I was yawning like crazy.

Then when I got home, I found a 5 hour energy in my cooler...that would have been nice to know that was there just a little bit sooner.

I got my first dozen hours or so when I was 15 and have just been doing it every now and then when I get free time. Last time I went up, I took my wife on a suprise flight over the house we were just about to buy and flew her up into the mountains and all that.

I'm still about 10 hours or so away from finishing. Its just difficult to get time to do it with a new house, a kid, wife, work, military duty, school, etc.

Tho ironically enough, after I took her flying, she suggested instead of spending $40k+ on a new camaro... I should buy a plane instead.
