Is the 1LE enough? Convince us.

Curious, for those that already have a track tricked out Camaro.

Is the 1LE enough to get you to buy one?

It could be if you have a Camaro that already performs close to a 1LE you want to wait and see what the 6th Gen holds. Will Camaro5 be covering Camaro6?

Can you be talked into it?

Wondering what everyone is thinking......

It's enough for me

I'll be ordering my 1LE in the early spring.

It would have been for me except I already have too much into my 2012 to trade for a '13. Not to mention the beating I'd take on trade.

Impossible. They haven't shipped the first one yet.

I would say Jeremywes probably knows his car well enough to understand the dynamics of the track and surmise from the "first rides" whether his car has the juice or not.

That's a seriously good looking car. The 1LE I ordered is Summit White.

It would have been if it were out when I got one, but there's no way I'd trade mine in. The 7-8k in lost value could easily go towards mods that will let you beat one. And I'd want to do most of the same mods to the 1LE anyways which would cost that much more.

I really like these cars, but the money I have in mine and how good it runs now makes it a no go. Put an LS7 in there and mine goes back to stock and in for a trade for sure.

I am feeling the same way. If I was buying right now no way I would buy anything else. I want one but man the hit we would take.

Can anyone talk us into it?

East to get to LS7 power level probably for less than an LS7 1IE would cost. IMO.

I would buy a 1LE in a heartbeat if I didnt have so much into my 2010. I think

its the best value you can get for any car on the market.

I am planning on selling my 2010 SS for the 1LE. Luckily I just have basic boltons and coilovers.

Well for me personally it is. I mean, yes I would LOVE a Camaro with an LS7, but knowing how much more expensive that engine is I'm good with the LS3. A bit surprised there is no HP bump with the dual mode exhaust but hey, if the car is fast and fun to drive I'm in. I just have to change some cosmetic things to make it MINE but yes this is without a doubt the Camaro for ME.

An LS7 would be absolutely awesome but it isn't going to cost under $40k. I'm content with bolt-ons and lightweight flywheel for putting more power to the ground and a cam would be really great addition.

After driving a V-6 fourth gen for the past ten years I think 426HP will be enough for me for awhile. I won't do many performance mods until shes paid off. I also have a feeling I'll be spending my mod money on tires.

With the dual mode exhaust and deletion of a power steering pump/pulley from the 10-12 cars I know there is a HP bump....GM just isn't going to make any claims about it....Ford would have been all over it(flame-suit on)

Motor Trend ran 12.7 @ 111.8. I think that is the fastest magazine LS3 time to date. I wonder if the new gearing requires a shift to 4th in the quarter, or if the 1LE can run 112 in third.

With the lower gearing I think not, so that is a good time.
