Based on mod level, I'm assuming that you have a simple/cheap code reader? What's the code read?

Any misfires or rough idle issues? Maybe a broken valve spring? (trying to account for engine ticking/exhaust note change)

Possible vacuum/exhaust leak issue? (again, potential source of ticking...unmetered air can prevent engine from re-starting as well)

I plugged my iTSX in and used my iPad to read the codes. It seemed to idle fine as in no roughness at all, just a noise and different sound to the exhaust. I'm going to use AAA to flat bed it to the shop and let them check it out.

The codes indicate that it's a CMP sensor which has something to do with the camshaft.

Keep us updated.

It wasn't the headers. The code said it had something to do with a camshaft sensor. It could of and might have failed if my car was bone stock. I am still glad I did this and would do it again. It was a one in a million failure

It's not the cause. It's the situation that's scary (without warranty recourse) but as you said, have to pay to play.

I gave that a lot of thought before I did anything. I have never had an issue with 4 new cars so I figured why should this one be any different.

Most dealers aren't as anal on bolt ons as they were when the cars first came out... plus the dealership has to prove what he done contributed to the failure... which in his case, they can say that his installation of an aftermarket cam did cause this failure and its on him... but who knows. Good Luck...

3 bolt cam or single bolt cam? Single bolt the cam may of broke the pin and the cam turned. If that happened lets pray for no valve train damage.

Thanks. It is a 3 bolt. It wasn't a catastrophic failure, the engine just shut off. Almost like it would with the key.

Hang in there Max, Things happen. I bet the shop that Modded your car will take care of you. Hopefully it's just a fluke and a quick fix.
