Saw the pic on ebay of the 49k slp and looks dated. No comparison to the Zl1 which is only 8k more. If it was me I would go for the Zl1 and finance trough gm . If you want to save money like myself go for the 1le.

I wish a ZL1 was only 8,000 more, I can't find one where I'm at or on ebay for anything less than 61-65,000 and that's without the mark up.

These are fully loaded, drilled 16" rotors, 6 piston brembos on the front, lowered and adjustable sway bars.

many dealers in ny and nj area are selling Zl1s for sticker or just under sticker theres a new 12 in nj for 55k !

If you put an additional 10k into the slp motor it wouldnt last a week! Ls3 is not designed to handle the stress of all that power.

Why on Gods green earth would you want a 2010 knowing that earlier cars has lots of bugs. My 2012 vs my 2011 is still way better. Swaybar studs for example are larger and more robust for larger swaybars, the 2010 studs were puny for like Honda civics. 1LE and ZL-1 has tranny coolers, diff coolers, electric power assist, dual mode exhaust. Screw 2010s.

This. For the price I guarantee most people would want the ZL1. Not many people would choose an aftermarket SS over a gm manufactured car such as the 1LE or ZL1. Plus you get the GM warranty. Just something to think about.

Sounds like you already decided. The slp fits your wants perfectly. The 1le is meant to handle and does not have a bump in power over a regular ss.

Maybe not, but it does have better gearing and lighter wheels, which will give a slight edge over a stock SS IMO.

I agree it will have a slight edge but it sounded like op wanted a bump in power and the slp delivers on that very well.

Put 4 grand into the motor. 6 into wheels tires/suspension. Gaurantee you would eat zl1s for lunch both on the dragstrip and autocrossing. Have a local here that has maggie/headers/pulley/tune/cam Stock bottom end 720 rwh and its been good for a year now. But were at 4000ft elevation so that brings the actual hp numbers down. LS3 good for 650 rwh all day.

All cars have some issues, I currently have 2010 SS and have not had one issue with it. Yes, Chevy improved the camaro over the next few years but to each his own. For most of those changes I can make them.

And then we get to SLP, pretty good car (camaro) and SLP has made there changes to make it better, so add some suspension upgrades and I will be right were I want to be.

Totally agree...

You still have the complete warranty on the SLP plus 575HP and all the extras SLP puts in their "production" camaros. MyLink and a ZL1 wheel dont balance out what you get in the SLP (well, I do like my HUD..)
