Ran my first Texas Mile event!!!

finally entered the event after 3 years of spectatorship...man was i missing out!!!

Took the bone stock 2SS RS to 158.1mph!!! i'm very happy!

now time for a tune and CAI to see what she'll do without the speed gov limiting me to 155!

Awesome... I remember seeing the car out there... For bone stock that's one heck of a good run... Congrats...

My car is on the mend and if my schedule permits, I'll be back there in March...

Texas Mile

Hope it isn't broken too bad.

It looked bad for the other yellow "Maro out there...he had some serious power happening then POOF...that sucks.

if anyone can recommend a dyno and tumer in the So. Texas area...I'm looking for an optimizing tune for the vararam im gonna get in the future.

Pretty sure I saw you run too. There were a few Camaro's out there. TONS of Mustangs... Was surprised. Would love to run as well, but dang is it $$$.

I believe it's $120 a day and it's a three day event. $360 for the weekend. Makes our $100 drivers fee (for two days) look like a drop in the bucket!

mine was the yellow and blackCamaro.
it is well worth it for a low key family run event.
and 15.00 for the whole weekend to watch...thats value!
one of these days i'll try 1/4 mile...just wish i didnt have to go to San Antonio to do it.
2hours both ways for me.

Looking to get Vararam Ramair and tune, We'll see what that does for me to break 160+. Maybe some Texas Speed L/T headers too.

That's awesome OP, especially for a stock 2SS! I'm hoping to get mine out there in March and see what she'll do just on the 418ci motor before I go turbo. Schedule permitting, I think it'll be a great time.

I've been 1/4 mile and thats fun, but this....takes it to a whole other level!

Just like getting on the freeway but you don't have to get off the loud pedal for a mile!!!

You're really not beating on it like on a 1/4 mile with a good hooked up launch, just a high speed run unless you miss a shift.

Just a fun time no doubt!!!! I have the bug now!!!!

and lots of really fast cars to watch and most important to me, the drivers are friendly and have no problem chatting...kinda like a get together.

I've been coming to the mile for 4 years now and last Oct was the first time driving. you have to sign up fast to get a spot.

Hope to see ya'll out there in March!

Thanks, 158 was a big surprise as being stock, it was limited to 155!

A tune should cure that nonsense!!!!!

Time to call Ted @ Janetty and get it done!

Plans are to tune out the speed limiter and see what stock can do "unlocked"
then add a Vararam Ramair, test that, then a power wedge, test that.
then i will have to Tune for all these and get an Octane tune so i can try the TORCO additive and test that...no dyno, just 1 mile speed numbers.
after that L/T and cats, test that...probably stop there...
