RX S/C LFX to the track tonight!

We're heading to Royal Purple Raceway tonight for some track time with KMAGRIZZ's RX S/C LFX for the first time

Gonna do a few test runs and see if any adjustments need to be made and see how she performs

I'll post up some results tonight when I get back home, but I'm sure V6owner will beat me to it haha

Good luck tonight at the track let me know... I wish I could have been out there doing some fine track-side tuning to really hone in on the numbers here.

I'll see you soon though!!!

Thanks

Didn't expect this to happen but my car ran a 14.25- 2.2 60'. Noticed an issue with the throttle response on the burnout and when launching, felt like it was bogging down when you mash the gas. Thought it was weird bc i had TC and stabiltrack turned off. I let Alex run it and it did the same thing to him. Well this morning I tried launching the car without turning anything off and low a behold she launches hard. Kinda funny how its doing the opposite, should have tried this at the track. I wonder if the TC can be switched around in the tune.

Yeah that 60" tells the tale of the problem and like you said, weird how it's the reverse of what you would think..

It felt like I was driving a Prius when I launched. It was crazy. I couldn't spin in the water like I normally can. I figured I'd launch at 1000rpms like I do in my car but the throttle response was like a 2 second delay. So I thought I'd try to launch at 2500 rpms. Nope I had it floored but it would only stay steady at 1800rpms

How was the DA for the run? That 60 foot may not have been the best but still should have gotten him deep into the 13s if the car was running properly. Sounds like there is a bug or two to work out yet.

Actually, a better question might be what the trap speed was. Because a 2.2 60' isn't great but it isn't completely atrocious either. I run a 2.2 60' and have ran a 14.3 in 100 degree weather with not even full bolt ons. So there is definitely something going on. I think it's in the tune.

Y'all are. Not understanding. The throttle response was not responsive which caused the entire run to not be good

There's a good possibility that it may be in the tune, traction control, stabilitrak, etc. Unfortunately this is what happens when we are in un-ventured territory.

I'll be going back out that way for December 14th with my GM MDI & Tech 2 tools, so we can read all codes, do logging, and get this thing to where it needs to be.

We also had an issue upstairs on this car reducing the torque. This ECU I have limited experience on literally 1 Magnacharger E78 truck (6.0L) that I had tuned in EFILive. The ECU will limit throttle through torque management (Engine TM, not transmission) based on predicted torque. However, HPT does not have all of the predicted throttle PIDs to be able to log them so it was a bit of a trial and error game. Above 6k the throttle originally would close , so we made a whopping 270 on the first pass, haha.

I did not see this throttle limitation that KMA is experiencing now on the street, but I also did not hard launch the car numerous times. I'll be back out there in a couple of weeks we are planning a track outing at same time, so we'll solve this issue and put down the CORRECT times !
