Looks great! I love the placement. Did you have to take the headliner down?

No, used a small very small flexable fiberglass rod from my daughters old kite and a coat hanger (connected) ran them straight back through the headliner (popped two retainers at the back) fished the wires through (pre-wired quick connector) and ran down the back rear pass window corner (past the air bag/no where near it) through the trunk (seat folded down) and to the fuse box (used an old fuse, no element in it, soldered the wires to the post) and ran another fuse in line to the wire. 0 = off (no flappers!!)....love it, very easy to use. cost me me about 4 bucks and my time...

dont mean to"jack" the thread but is there any difference between just pulling the F8 fuse vs getting the mild to wild switch besides having the ability to switch it to on and off. Also, if you just pull the fuse will a check engine light come on. thanks in advanced!

the fuse pull permantly disables the butterfly's, the mild to wild and the switch do exactly the same thing. one uses a remote relay to turn the power on and off the switch just statically switches 12v.

the only advantage to the mild to wild is not having to run the wires up to the switch.

Also no check engine codes thrown if you do a fuse pull.

Just so I get what you're doing, your are overriding the dual mode exhaust system with the switch controlling the opening of the exhaust tip baffles, correct?

You must post your steps, wiki like. This sounds like my first mod. I already have the switch and wire on hand. Thanks.

This just cuts out the fuse (opens the baffles) on the exhaust. Same effect as pulling the fuse. Simple Mod except for running the wiring. I used the overhead spot because I like how this area had room, little did I know about the how long the side airbags were (run the entire length of side back to pass side back window corner/point). Could be easier to run under door or floor molding. Lets you control the exhaust with a flip of the switch instead of a push of button. If you need some info send me a PM and I would be glad to help out.

Sam, in your photo just to the right of your switch, there is a little rectangular square, is that an airbag release door?

Did you take the whole light bezel off to fit the switch?

I did not know there is a fuse box in the trunk, where is it located?

Thanks for your patients... I put her away for the winter so looking at doing this mod.

The little square is a dummy blank...nothing there. I did take the whole switch/panel out, was pretty easy. I can post some pics up in the a.m.

Fuse box located behind firewall fabric cover, pass side towards rear of trunk. I can post some pic up of the fuse box location too.
