Next week well post complete install images and guideline.

Install is very easy, much easier than bumper ports.

I apologize if this has been mentioned already-is the "ACS Water Deflector" not the same as the "ACS Zl1 Original Style Water Deflector"?

I think its trimmed down more because it wouldnt have fit if it were the original style deflector

Stay tuned as we begin filling orders.

Make sure to order yours today.

I thought I saw what looked like a generic-looking water deflector in a previous post. Please correct me if I'm wrong. I'd much rather have the ZL1 style water deflector with the TL1 insert.

Edit #1: Just received a PM from ACS saying that it's possible to substitute the generic deflector with the ZL1-style deflector at no additional cost. Simply place the order and email them.

Edit #2: ZL1-style deflector may have clearance issues, mostly with SS and possible with my Injen intake...

Is there a reason why you chose to have the insert straight as opposed to following the lines of the cowl?

I know the ZL1 insert is straight but the ZL1 hood cowl is also straight as opposed to ours that are wider at the top.

The hood is aluminum, it won't rust. But you should still paint the exposed edges or use silicone to seal moisture from getting under the factory paint.

A question for ACS, I was wondering if you get a template to cut the under hood insulator blanket?

Do you recommend adding 3m tape to the parts that contact the paint to prevent the rub through of the paint like the early spoilers did on the trunk?

We don't recommend using 3M tape.

I didn't mean to attach it but as a cushion between the paint and insert.

I'll be posting a DIY guide in a few days, and you'll be able to judge for yourself.

Thanks, I pm'd you yesterday evening about sending me a pay pal invoice but when I went to your website it let me use PayPal to pay for it. An invoice won't be necessary now.
Thanks.
Now if Santa will bring me a ZL1 grille I will be set.
