thats pretty good tho, but yea im one of those that did it directly with LG so not bad, a good amount. Once the finished product comes out your definitely going to get more people/. like you said i think people are a little to shy to pay before they see it, but than again it is refundable deposit!
Thanks for the responce

So far I think that we're up to a dozen or so. I know LG has a few direct deposits as well, but it's not like everybody in the world is jumping at them so they will still have some exclusivity to them.

I think most folks are sandbaggin waiting to see what they look like. () Might end up costing them more $$ later when they are in stock.

Thank you again! Glad to see folks jumping on these at this great price!
Mine was an early deposit with LG Anthony. I jumped the day anthony posted these wheels. I too seriously think a lot just haven't seen these threads yet.

I want these, especially since the pricing is more affordable than the real ZL-1 ones, but even at this price I don't have the money :( that's the only reason I haven't ordered a set yet. I was gonna start signing up for some o/t at work to save up, but there isn't any right now. Oh well, maybe when I get my bonus next year in March/April.

Love the wheels but not feeling the black on my car. Polished or maybe even the anthracite or painted, but not black.

Beauty is just a little bit of work away! The Black Matte finish is fantastic in person (ZL1 wheels at least) and I think they look sick personally. I'm already convinced that some of the folks are going to paint or powdercoat theirs a different color.

I know that there are other options out there right now that offer them in chrome.

I don't think that the LG wheels will offer a chrome choice. Not right off at least.

These wheels are not going to be some "quick off the line", "hope the finish lasts", "hope I don't have to worry about potholes and running them hard" wheel.

There are a few distinct differences that I can help shed some light on right off the bat as to why LG's are a bit more $ and why they are a better quality wheel:

1.) The LG ZR28's are a pressure cast wheel so they are made of a denser material.

2.) Because of this this they will be Lighter and Stronger than a normal casting like the other replica wheels seen on ebay and the likes.

3.) The ZR28s are crash tested. That in itself speaks volumes. You want your wheels to be able to hold the brakes when and if needed in situations where safety is paramount. LG Motorsports RACES what they sell. Period.

4.) Built by a company that does GM OEM wheels. So you know it's not just a wheel that "replicates" a GM wheel for looks.

5.) OEM like finish. It will last and perform just like the original.

While there are certainly cheaper options out there, it's known that those wheels will be sold to a certain demographic of customer.

It all comes down to those simple differences as to what is important to the customer.

We're personally hoping to see a polished option later down the line. That's something that I'd like to see as it's also a great looking finish.

Hope this helps clear the air about some of the differences out there....

Ivan
