They had no clue that the DRLs on the RS package did not turn on at night!
I just hadn't seen this information listed anywhere. If it is, it's in fine print that I didn't notice somewhere. Oh well, I still wanted the HID lights, and I'll still get the HID lights. It's all good.

Thanks, I plan on it :-)

I ordered on 6/14, TPW is 8/20. I'm getting antsy right now. I want to have some fun before the winter rains kick in here.

I never use the DRL's anyhow. The second i start the car i turn the dial to shut them off and turn on the HALOS. I have my DRL's blacked out dark so useless and not good to run them blacked out anyhow as it traps in the heat.

Most automatics I've seen do this. Manuals tend to turn on with the vehicle.

Oddly enough, for my 2012 manual, my DRLs turn off when the parking brake is set!

On my 2013, the parking brake controls the DRL's. Parking brake on, no DRL's....release the parking brake and the DRL's come on. The post above states the parking brake controls the DRL's on the 2012's also.

Bump...

Question. So can I just buy an 8000k hid kit for the "fog lights"? As I understand, hid's run at a cooler temperature. I don't think it'll be a problem? Just going for the "blue DRL's on all day" look.

HIDs will most likely melt the housing. I say most likely because I'm not a big fan of saying "always."

Anyone that's wondering, read through this thread, should tell you everything you need to know. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=252161 4300K color temp should be the best color match for the HIDs.
