I loved my 1992 t-top Camaro! So I was wondering the same thing... but after seeing a few photos of the 5th gen with them. I'm going to have to pass. DANGIT!

It'd be expensive if it were to come back...

Never been a fan of t-tops (from any year Camaro/Firebird). I hope they don't return.

Floor pan rust from T-top leaks plagued F-bodies in the past. I'd say no.

They can't make a convertible that works, what makes anyone think they could do T tops right?

The 4th Gen with the T's was the best of all the years with T's IMO. To this day I still miss my white 96 Z28 with T's.
Retired Navy... A Husband. A Dad. A Veteran as of 2011. 2010 2SS/RS A6 - FlowMaster CatBack - I'm not a Amsoil dealer and will never be one. I believe in its capabilities from personal use with oil analysis reports backing up my OCI's. Besides, I know more than most cut and paste Amsoil dealers which are at least 95% of them.

I've owned and driven convertibles since 1989, had cars with sunroofs, moonroofs, etc

T tops are fun. Convertibles even more so. But I got no sunroof on my camaro, on purpose. I want simplicity and stiff chassis on this car. if it had no stripes, it would have no options

It would be an engineering nightmare to offer it as an option from the factory.

First, the internal safety cage in the roof rails would be removed, as well as your curtain airbags. Thereby reducing side impact and roll over protection, and not passing federally mandated side impact regulations. I suppose someone could design a t-top panel with an internal steel bar to complete the safety cage when it's installed, but you'd still be missing the curtain airbag.

To offer it as an option would mean GM would have to design two different roof structures and different hardware and software for the ECM (with and without airbags).

There's a LOT more to car design than there was when the last 2002 F-body with t-tops rolled of the line. Most of you have no idea.

Having it done aftermarket is one thing, but as an option by GM, it will never happen again. Your options are sunroof or convertible.
