Clay - If you haven't experienced a clayed car, do it. You'll never go back. There's a quick test to make sure you've clalyed your 2x2 section correctly whereby you put your hand in a plastic produce bag and feel the paint. It glides like nothing you've ever felt. My neighbors kept stopping by yesterday wondering why I was doing so much. I had them try the plastic bag feel test. When they compared the clayed side to the non-clayed side, one neighbor said, "Wow. That's like sandpaper!" To which I replied, "And that's factory paint!!!! .... which is WHY I'm claying it!"

Also, after claying properly, you can then polish your car to remove any of the factory paint imperfections then you can wax your car to seal and protect the now beautiful paint. Some people skip the polish but wax won't fix the paint. It'll fill the paint in. This topic is often debated. There are great filler products like Zaino that make your car better the more you use them. And then there's the polish crowd that believes in actually repairing the paint before sealing it w/o having or needing to fill it.

Check out the Junkman videos on YouTube and it the paint and care section of the forum. After you've watched his videos you'll get the idea. Maybe see his videos on Polish, Sealing and the two bucket wash.
Thanks for taking the time, and the clarification on claybar. I'll watch the videos and get with the program.

Got my rear tires swapped out for winter. Snagged this vid while the tire guy took my car to the shop.

Snow Cars in VA

My 1LE/E36/Tacoma/TDI in the snow.

Very pretty Christmas Eve, but not a great day to drive.

Debadged and Rebadged (partially)

Next up the Heritage grill with a modern SS logo on the front. Nothing on the rear. 1LE badges on the hood ... guess I need to order the LS3 High-Performance Heads-and-Cam Kit to earn the emblem on the hood.

Removed bow tie and SS logo using SUKXOST's trick: Name: debadge 1 of 2.jpg

No emblems on rear: Name: debadge 2 of 2.jpg

Added 1LE emblems from Emblem Pros's (lining these up was "fun"). Hood has one coat of Adams' VRT applied. I wasn't happy with the streaking after applying it, however a couple days later and it looks fine: Name: 1LE badge 1.jpg

I've emailed 3 different companies that offer emblems for custom 1LE badges and NOT ONE has responded so I gave up. Maybe I should have tried emblempros ? I still don't see it on their site. Are they working on mass production or what?
