Thought I would post a real quick update about polishing my IM. Well I went out and bought all the right stuff haha! Got my dremel and diff attachments, facemask and polishing compound haha. Lets do this!

Here is all the stuff I bought:

and here is how the IM is currently:

O yea, the black line is where I want to stop with polishing cause the rest will be painted. However depending on how easy good the runners turn out I am just do the entire thing.

True lol. I did already use it for a future mod haha....got a rear bowtie that had the pegs on it and I cut them off lol. Hopefully the IM will come out the way I have it visioned in my head lol. It may take awhile to get it done. Ron and I were talking and we were gonna see if we could get a discount for getting a bunch of stuff powdercoated at the same time and that won't be atleast till after the holiday.

Lol they are just removed for now will get them painted eventually. Plan on ordering that G2 paint in IOM. Not gonna lie though removing them was a huge pain. It end up taking me 2 and a half hours for both (although the majority of the time was spent on the drivers side since there are like 3 bolts in the back that are really hard to get at.) Before I reinstall them ill have to buy a swivel ratchet, might make it easier.

I hope I didn't damage anything removing them and that ill be able to reinstall them fine cause it would suck if my car doesn't run after lol.

Didn't take any pics of the engine after I removed them cause I covered up the camshafts and stuff with Saran Wrap to prevent anything from going in and then covered that with a sheet. But I will post some later right before I do anything to them. First gonna remove that felt and then plan on removing the bending oil filler tube.

Thought I would do a quick update on what is going on before I go away for vacation. So recently I have been working on my valve covers. I managed to remove the felt and the other stuff on top of them and I cleaned the passenger side one. I then painted it with Chevrolet Orange 500C spary paint I got at autozone that was on sale for $5 a can (saved $1.50 woo hoo lol). I then put a couple coats of clear on it and I am going to let it sit while I am gone so I don't ruin it.

When I come back from vacation I plan on going to a powder coater to get a quote on getting my Intake Manifold, Plenum Cover and my billet pedals powder coated. Hopefully it comes out to a fair price so I can then be done with that.

There are also a couple of other projects/mods I still have yet to do. I plan on sending out my headrests to get embroidered, I am going to try to change the filter on the Rx breather to a black one, I plan on buying a plenum spacer and I may relocate my IAT as well as replace some of the stock bolts with black ones for contrast.
