2012 1LT RS FRONT BUMPER

Hi folks,

due to the only luck I have here lately, BAD, I need to get a new front bumper to replace my new bumper from an accident just a month ago. Lucky me I ran over a diesel truck tire tread last week driving to work and yep the bottom of the bumper is busted up and held from dragging the road with duck tape. Any way, the dealer wants 350.00 for a new one and 356 to paint it and I install.

Does anyone know of a place where I can get one cheaper? Also, I have thought about trying to repair it via fiberglass, will that work? I'm thinking it might not stick.

NO, trying a repair using fiberglass won't work.....because the facia ia not made out of fiberglass.

the best thing you cpould do to save some cash, is to hunt eBay, Craig's List, the For Sale section here on the forum to buy a facia second hand.....but you will still have to get it painted.

Thank you Sir Nuke. I figured that is basically what I would have to do. It's 350 at the dealer, plus another 356 for them to paint it, then I install it. I'll do some searching. Thanks again. Peace!

Good idea. I will give them a call to find out the prices. One thing I did mention was installing the GM heritage grill and getting rid of that ugly factory front grill. The collision centers manager said he could possibly to it if it does not consist of doing any mod/fab to the grill. If it's just a matter of snapping it in he sees no problem. The grill willl cost me 275 from the dealer

The dealer is going to charge you top dollar to paint it. Have a local body shop paint it.

to bad you did not live closer i could buy it at a discount.. like they said mys well upgrade to zl1 front bumper. other choice would be finding someone with one they replaced that is your color, but that may take awhile + shipping.
