That makes NO marketing sense and would be expensive. Why can't a Z28 be made from the 5Gen?

If you're waiting on a 5th gen Z/28, why not wait for the 6th gen version - how much cooler do you think that will be?

That's all the Z28 has ever been. Just a Refreshed Camaro. It's just an Option package. My 80 Z28 was just a Camaro with 5.7 liter V8 engine, heavy duty anti-sway bars, cast aluminum wheels, front and rear spoilers, dual exhaust and air induction hood scoop.

I understand that but there is alot of hype for a Z/28 so when it releases it won't be just an "option package". It'll be like a ZL1 in my opinion which has is own identity. Even the 1LE even though an option is starting to grow its own legs and becoming a vehicle trim. Confusing I know, lol. But it makes sense in my head

Read the Car and Driver Lightning Lap 2013 article, and all-time Results, very closely...

1SS + 1LE + LS7 + ZL1 Brakes would = the "Best Under $50,000" value VIR/LL2-3 has EVER seen...

...and THAT is not good enough for a Camaro deservin'/wearin' a hallowed badge, NOW?!

It would be some kind of track car, If I remember right that's why the Z28 was made, Chevy needed a car that could run in the Trans Am series with a 305 cu in limit. So the Z28 was born with the 302 cu in.

Wrong again, however the 1LE is a great car. My second choice.

And now wonderfully we don't have to worry about CI. So we can use a High-Revving SB of our choice.

Because that's pointless. The next gen will always come along with some development but it isn't necessarily an improvement.

The 1LE is and was a track package upgrade. That isn't a Z/28.

I'll take a 5th gen with an LS7, even if they don't call it a Z/28

That's not what you said originally. It did start as an RPO, but later it became its own level of Camaro.

...and that is what we do not want, and what Scott promised will not happen again, it is a revered and hallowed name, so disregard the past model that was produced after the glory years....see above posted response.
