Question debadging question

I have a early 2010 that is black. I want to remove the camaro on the fenders. I'm worried that when I do since it stays in the sun most of the time you will be able to see where the "camaro" was.

Anyone had this problem??

I'd be interested in this as well.
The one thing I don't like about my car are the cheap looking badges
Mine is a 3 day old 13 though.

Just take them off. Some fishing line and goo gone will make quick work of them.

Yea yours is so new it will not matter. I'm just worried the sun has bleached my paint and where my letters were it will be like new.

I took mine off last summer, mine was black and a 2010. I dot notice anything. When I first washed it the water would go around where the camaro used to be and sorta outline the letters but after a few washes that stopped

If this helps I removed the dealer letters from my daily driver over the weekend. It was on there for one year and I thought I was gonna have some problems but you can not even tell. I did use a heat gun, adhesive remover, clay bar and waxes over it since I did the whole car. My daily driver is Silver though.

I just removed mine in my cgm. I can't see any noticble difference. And it bakes in the Texas heat everyday.

I had paint detailed my car last fall...removed my camaro lettering last month and in 500watt lights you can see where it was. When I buff out the fenders it will be gone though. I used a heat gun and wd40. It was a biznitch to get the 3M off the fender.

I just debadged mine.

1.Heat them up a bit with a blow dryer
2.use fishing line to gently release the badges from the tape
3. use hard plastic (like a credit card) to remove excess tape
4. use adhesive remover to glue residue.

Just take your time, it will look great.

You will probably see a faint shadow where the letters were. To resolve this, use a little buffing compound on the area, wax, then polish and it will be just like it was never there.

I had the same issue when I removed my ZL1 emblems from my hood, and this is how I fixed it. Now you can't tell they were ever there.

Just wondering why in the heck you'd want to do that? They are a sweet looking emblem and I'd def want the world to know I drove a bad boy like that.

I had custom emblems made by Emblempros and I moved them from the hood to the fender after I removed the CAMARO badges. I replaced all of the exterior badges with the ones shown in the photo below. Don't worry, I don't think anyone has had any problems telling that I drive a ZL1!

Well the 80HD in me kicked in and the good news it turned out great. Cant even tell it was there, after I got all the glue off I used a little rubbing compound and by hand applied it then polished the area also by hand and it turned out perfect.

I'm thinking of ordering "376" in black onyx from emblem pros to replace it though.
