alrighty...

PROCEDURE FOR ENGAGING LAUNCH CONTROL FOUND ON MANUAL TRANS 2010 SS CAMARO'S.

1. be at a full dead stop, in neutral. feet off gas and off clutch.
2. press the traction control button twice, it'll switch to competition mode. then the little sign will go away and leave a small icon indicating your in comp mode.
3. gas to the floor. rpm will jump to 4.8k
4. clutch to the floor
5. shift into first
6. drop clutch out and hold on.

there you guys go. the majorative issue is that the gas needs to go down first, or the system doesn't turn on and you dont get the rev limit to 4800rpm.

happy launching!

Is this procedure true...i.e. does it have to be in neutral, then gas first? I tried doing it today just to show my dad how it held the RPM's, and it shot up to 7K before I caught it. I figured either I wasn't doing the right procedure (did clutch in then gas, while in gear), or I was pushing the gas pedal down too wuss-like (gently consistent). And yes, it was definitely in comp mode.

Wow, didn't know this thread got revived.

My only advice on why it wasn't working for me was because I was being a wuss about pushing down the gas pedal.

Stomp on that thing like it's your boss' head!
